Who is the image of the invisible God, Primal Source of all creation;

And He is the Head of the body, the assembly; Who is the Beginning, the First-born from the dead, that in all things He may be preeminent;

to whom God willed to make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory;

Whom we proclaim, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we may present every man perfect in Christ;

in Whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden away.

Beware, lest there should be any one who makes a spoil of you through his philosophy and vain deceits, according to the tradition of men, according to the rudiments of the world, and not according to Christ;

and ye have been made complete in Him, Who is the Head of all principality and power;

in Whom ye were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hand, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ;

having been buried with Him in your immersion, in which ye were also raised with Him through faith in the working of God, Who raised Him from the dead;

and not holding fast the Head from Whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and bands, increases with the increase of God.

and having put on the new man who is being renewed unto full knowledge, according to the image of Him Who created him;

whom I sent to you for this very purpose, that ye may know the things that concern us, and that he may comfort your hearts;

together with Onesimus, the faithful and beloved brother, who is from among you; they will make known to you all things here.

Aristarchus, my fellow-captive, salutes you, and Mark, the cousin of Barnabas, concerning whom ye received commandments (if he come to you, receive him),

and Jesus, who is called Justus, who are of the circumcision: these only are my fellow-workers in the interests of the Kingdom of God, who, indeed, became a comfort to me.

Epaphras, who is from among you, salutes you, a servant of Christ Jesus, always striving in your behalf in his prayers, that ye may stand perfect and fully assured in all the will of God.

so that ye became a model to all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia.

and to wait for His Son from Heaven, Whom He raised from the dead, Jesus, Who delivers us from the coming wrath.

but even as we have been approved by God to be entrusted with the Gospel, so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, Who proveth our hearts.

Ye are witnesses, and God, how piously and righteously and unblamably we behaved toward you who believe;

that ye should walk worthily of God, Who is calling you into His own Kingdom and glory.

And, for this reason, we also give thanks to God without ceasing, that, having received the word of God which ye heard from us, ye received it, not as the word of men, but, as it truly is, the word of God, which also is working in you who believe.

who both killed the Lord Jesus and the prophets, and drove us out, and pleased not God, and are contrary to all men;

not in passion of desire, even as the gentiles, who know not God;

Therefore, indeed, he that rejects, rejects not man, but God, Who giveth His Holy Spirit to you.

and, in fact, ye do it to all the brethren who are in all Macedonia; but we exhort you, brethren, to abound yet more;

But we do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those falling asleep, that ye sorrow not even as the rest who have no hope;

for, if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also those who fell asleep in Jesus will God bring with Him.

For this we say to You, in a word of the Lord, that we, the living who remain over to the coming of the Lord, shall in nowise precede those who fell asleep;

after that we, the living who are left over, will be caught up together with them in clouds, into the air, to meet the Lord; and so shall we always be with the Lord.

For those who sleep sleep at night, and those who are drunken are drunken at night.

Who died for us, that, whether we watch or sleep, we may live together with Him.

And we beseech you, brethren, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you;

Faithful is He Who calleth you, Who also will do it.

since it is a righteous thing with God to recompense tribulation to those who cause you tribulation;

and to you who suffer tribulation, relief with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from Heaven with the angels of His power, in flaming fire,

awarding vengeance to those who know not God, and to those who obey not the Gospel of our Lord Jesus;

who, indeed, shall pay a penalty, eternal destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His might,

when He shall come to be glorified in His saints, and to be marveled at in all who believed (because our testimony to you was believed), in that day.

for the mystery of lawlessness is already working: only He Who hindereth will hinder, until He is taken out of the midst.

And then shall be revealed the lawless one, whom the Lord Jesus will slay with the breath of His mouth, and will bring to nought by the manifestation of His presence;

and in all deceit of unrighteousness to those who perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

that they all may be judged, who believe not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Now our Lord Jesus Christ Himself, and God our Father Who loved us and gave us eternal consolation and good hope in grace.

But the Lord is faithful, Who will establish you, and guard you from the evil one.

For we hear of some who walk among you in a disorderly manner, who work not at all, but are busybodies.

I have thanks for Him Who empowered me, Christ Jesus our Lord, because He accounted me faithful, putting me into His service,

Faithful is the saying, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief;

of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered up to Satan, that they might be taught not to blaspheme.

for kings, and all who are in high position, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and gravity.

Who wisheth all men to be saved, and to come into a full knowledge of truth.

Who gave Himself a ransom for all, the testimony for its own times,

forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods, which God created for reception with thanksgiving by those who believe and have full knowledge of the truth.

For to this end we labor and strive, because we have set our hope on the living God, Who is Savior of all men, especially of believers.

Take heed to yourself, and to the teaching; continue in them; for, doing this, you will save both yourself and those who hear you.

Honor widows who are widows indeed.

But she who lives in pleasure, though living, has died.

If any believing woman has widows, let her relieve them, and let not the assembly be burdened, in order that it may relieve those who are really widows.

Let elders who preside well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in word and teaching.

Those who sin reprove before all, that the rest also may have fear.

And let those having believing masters not despise them, because they are brethren; but let them serve them the more, because they are faithful and beloved, who are partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.

I charge you before God who preserves alive all things, and Christ Jesus Who before Pontius Pilate testified a good confession,

Who only hath immortality, inhabiting light unapproachable, Whom no man ever saw or is able to see; to Whom be honor and dominion eternal. Amen.

Charge those who are rich in this present age, not to be high-minded, nor to have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, Who giveth us richly all things for enjoyment;

I thank God, Whom I serve from my forefathers, in a pure conscience, that I have an unceasing remembrance of you in my supplications night and day;

Who saved us, and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose, and grace which was given us in Christ Jesus before eternal ages,

but now made manifest through the appearing of our Savior Christ Jesus; Who abolished death, and brought to light life and incorruption through the Gospel;

For which cause I am suffering also these things; but I am not ashamed; for I know Whom I have believed, and have become persuaded that He is able to guard my deposit unto that day.

The good deposit guard through the Holy Spirit Who dwelleth in us.

You know this, that all in Asia turned away from me; of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes.

And the things which you heard from me, through many witnesses, these commit to faithful men, who will be competent to teach others also.

No one, serving as a soldier, entangles himself in the affairs of life, that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier.

Of these things put them in remembrance, solemnly charging them before God, that they engage not in word-battles to no profit, to the subverting of those who hear.

and their word will spread, as a gangrene; of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

who erred concerning the truth, saying that the resurrection has already taken place, and are overthrowing the faith of some.

Nevertheless, the firm foundation of God has been standing, having this seal, "The Lord knew those who are His:" and "Let every one who names the name of the Lord depart from unrighteousness."

For of these are those who creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, and led on by manifold desires,

Yea, and all who wish to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

But do you abide in the, things which you learned and were assured of; knowing from whom you learned them;

I charge you before God, and Christ Jesus, Who is to judge the living and the dead, and by His appearing and His Kingdom,

henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, will recompense to me in that day, and not only to me, but also to all those who have loved His appearing.

of whom do you also beware; for greatly did he withstand our words.

The Lord will deliver me from every evil work, and will bring me safe into His heavenly Kingdom; to Whom be the glory for ever and ever. Amen.

upon hope of eternal life which God, Who cannot lie, promised before eternal times,

holding fast the faithful word which is according to the teaching, that he may be able both to exhort in the healthful doctrine, and to convict those who contradict.

whom it is needful to reduce to silence: who, indeed, are overthrowing whole houses, teaching what they ought not, for the sake of base gain.

not giving heed to Jewish fables, and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.

sound speech not to be condemned; that he who is of the contrary part may be ashamed, having no evil thing to say concerning us.

who gave Himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for Himself a special people, zealous of good works.

Whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior;

Faithful is the saying, and concerning these things I will that you affirm confidently, that those who have believed God may be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable to men.

All those who are with me salute you. Salute those who love us in the faith. Grace be with you all.

I beseech you for my child, whom I begat in my bonds, Onesimus,

who at one time was unprofitable to you, but now profitable to you and to me;

whom I sent back to you, in his own person, that is, my very heart;

whom I was disposed to keep with me, that in your stead he might minister to me in the bonds of the Gospel;

at the end of these days spake to us in His Son, Whom He appointed Heir of all things, through Whom also He constituted the ages;

Who, being an effulgence of His glory and an exact expression of His substance, and upholding all things by the word of His power, having made a purification of sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

For to whom of the angels said He at any time, "You are My Son; I this day have begotten you?" And again, "I will be to him a Father; and He shall be to me a Son?"

And respecting the angels He saith, "Who maketh His angels spirits, and His ministers a flame of fire";
