Count it all joy, my brothers, when you encounter various trials. Know that the testing of your faith produces patience (endurance).

Yes, we have had the sentence of death within ourselves that we should not trust in ourselves but in God who raises the dead. God delivered us out of so great a death, and will deliver us. I was given a painful physical ailment that will keep me from being puffed up with pride because of the many wonderful things I saw. It acts as Satan's messenger to beat me and keep me from being proud. Three times I prayed to God about this and asked him to take it away. He told me: My grace is sufficient for you for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore, I would rather glory in my infirmities (frailities), that the power of Christ may rest upon me (cover me like a tent) (descend upon me) (abide with me). Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then I am strong.
No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to man. God is faithful and he will not allow you to be tempted beyond your limits. He will make a way out, that you will be able to endure it.
Blessed are they who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when men revile you, and persecute you, and say all manner of evil against you falsely for my sake. Rejoice, and be filled with joy, for great is your reward in heaven. The prophets, who came before you, were also persecuted.
He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver. He will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them like gold and silver. Then they will offer to Jehovah offerings in righteousness.
You greatly rejoice in this, though you have been grieved with various trials for a little while. The proof of your faith is more precious than gold that perishes. Though it is tested by fire, it may be found in praise and glory and honor at the revelation of Jesus Christ. You love him without seeing him. Though you do not see him, you believe in him. You have tested us, O God. You have refined us in the same way silver is refined. You have trapped us in a net. You have laid burdens on our backs. You let people ride over our heads. We went through fire and water, but then you brought us out and refreshed us.

Beloved ones do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal among you, for it comes upon you like a test, as though some strange thing were happening to you. Those who hope in Jehovah will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary! They will walk and not be faint.

The man who endures under trial is blessed. For when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life that God promised to those who love him.
Because you have kept the word of my patience (endurance), I also will keep you from the hour of testing. This will come upon the whole world to test (scrutinize) (discipline) (examine) those who dwell on the earth.
Jehovah asked him: What have you been doing? Satan answered: I have been walking here and there and roaming around the earth. Did you notice my servant Job? Jehovah asked. There is no one on earth as faithful and good as he is. He respects me and is careful not to do anything evil. Satan replied: Would Job respect you if he got nothing out of it?read more.
You have always protected him and his family and everything he owns. You bless everything he does. You have given him enough cattle to fill the whole country. Now suppose you take away everything he has. He will curse you to your face! All right, Jehovah said to Satan, everything he has is in your power, but you must not hurt Job! So Satan left.

Not only that, but we also rejoice in our tribulations knowing that tribulation produces endurance.
I know your troubles. I know that you are poor, but you are rich! I know the evil things said against you by those who claim to be Jews but are not. Their synagogue belongs to Satan!
