The angel answered him, "I am Gabriel, who stands in the presence of God, and I was sent to speak to you and to bring you this good news.

Then he ordered the man to tell no one, but commanded him, "Go and show yourself to a priest, and bring the offering for your cleansing, as Moses commanded, as a testimony to them."

Just then some men showed up, carrying a paralyzed man on a stretcher. They were trying to bring him in and place him before Jesus.

Jesus answered, "You unbelieving and perverse generation! How much longer must I be with you and endure you? Bring your son here."

But when they bring you before the synagogues, the rulers, and the authorities, do not worry about how you should make your defense or what you should say,

"I have come to bring fire on the earth -- and how I wish it were already kindled!

Do you think I have come to bring peace on earth? No, I tell you, but rather division!

So the slave came back and reported this to his master. Then the master of the household was furious and said to his slave, 'Go out quickly to the streets and alleys of the city, and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind, and the lame.'

But the father said to his slaves, 'Hurry! Bring the best robe, and put it on him! Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet!

Bring the fattened calf and kill it! Let us eat and celebrate,

But as for these enemies of mine who did not want me to be their king, bring them here and slaughter them in front of me!'"

telling them, "Go to the village ahead of you. When you enter it, you will find a colt tied there that has never been ridden. Untie it and bring it here.
