For Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and he preserved him, and hearing him, did many things, and heard him gladly.

And if your hand offends you, cut it off; it is better for you to enter into life crippled, than having two hands to go away into hell, into the inextinguishable fire.

for those days shall be an affliction, such as has not been from the beginning of the creation that God created till now, and shall not be.

But in those days, after that affliction, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

But learn the parable of the fig tree. When its branch is now tender and it puts forth leaves, it is known that the summer is nigh;

so also when you see all these things occur, know that [the Son of man] is nigh, at the doors.

I tell you truly, that this generation shall not pass away till all these things are accomplished.

For this ointment could have been sold for more than three hundred denarii [$42] and given to the poor; and they blamed her.
