O Lord, I pray You, according to all Your righteousness let Your anger and Your fury be turned away from Your city Jerusalem, Your holy mountain. Because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and Your people have become a curse to all those who are around us.

And while I was speaking, and praying, and confessing my sin, and the sin of my people Israel, and presenting my cry before Jehovah my God for the holy mountain of my God;

yes, while I was speaking in prayer, even the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, touched me in my severe exhaustion, about the time of the evening sacrifice.

Know therefore and understand, that from the going out of the command to restore and to build Jerusalem, to Messiah the Prince, shall be seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks. The street shall be built again, and the wall, even in times of affliction.

I ate no food for delight, neither came flesh nor wine in my mouth, nor did I anoint myself at all, until three whole weeks were fulfilled.

Then he said, Do you know why I come to you? And now I will return to fight with the ruler of Persia. And when I have gone out, lo, the ruler of Greece shall come.

But I will show you that which is written in the Scripture of Truth. And there is none who holds strongly with me in these things, but Michael your ruler.

And now I will declare to you the truth. Behold, there shall stand up yet three kings in Persia. And the fourth shall be far richer than all of them. And by his strength, through his riches, he shall stir up all against the kingdom of Greece.

And a mighty king shall stand up, one who shall rule with great power and do according to his will.

So the king of the north shall come, and cast up a siege mound, and take a fortified city. And the arms of the south shall not hold out, nor his chosen people, nor will there be any strength to hold out.

But he who comes against him shall do according to his own will, and none shall stand before him. And he shall stand in the glorious land, which shall be destroyed by his hand.

He also shall set his face to enter with the strength of all his kingdom, and upright ones with him. So he shall do. And he shall give the daughter of women to him, to destroy it; but she shall not stand, nor be for him.

And he shall turn his face to the coastlands, and shall capture many. But a ruler shall make cease his reproach for him, but his reproach will return to him.

And a despised one shall stand up in his place, and they shall not give to him the honor of the king; but he will enter while at ease and seize the kingdom by intrigues.

And the forces of the overflow will be swept from before him, and they will be broken, and also the ruler of a covenant.

And after they join him, he will practice deceit. For he will come and be strong with a few people.

And he shall return to his land with great riches. And his heart shall be against the holy covenant. And he will act, and he shall return to his land.

And forces will stand from him, and they will profane the sanctuary, the fortress, and shall remove the daily sacrifice, and they shall place the desolating abomination.

And he will ruin by flattery those who do evil against the covenant. But the people who know their God will be strong and will work.

And when they stumble, they shall be helped with a little help, but many will join them, with hypocrisy.

And the king shall do according to his will. And he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvelous things against the God of gods, and shall prosper until the fury is fulfilled. For that which is decreed shall be done.

He will not regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women, nor regard any god. For he shall magnify himself above all.

But he shall have power over the treasures of gold and silver, and over all the precious things of Egypt. And the Libyans and the Ethiopians shall be at his steps.

But news out of the east and out of the north shall trouble him. Then he will go out with great fury to destroy, and to devote many to destruction.

And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was on the waters of the river, when he held up his right and his left hand to Heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half. And when they have made an end of scattering the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

And Jehovah said to him, Call his name God Will Sow. For still in a little while, and I will avenge the blood of Jezreel on the house of Jehu, and will cause the kingdom of the house of Israel to cease.

And it shall be, at that day I will break the bow of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.

And she conceived again and bore a daughter. And God said to him, Call her name No-mercy, for I will no more have mercy on the house of Israel. But I will utterly take them away.

But I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and will save them by Jehovah their God, and will not save them by bow, nor by sword, nor by battle, by horses, nor by horsemen.

And He said, Call his name Not-my-people. For you are not My people, and I will not be for you.

For their mother has prostituted herself. She who conceived them has done shamefully. For she said, I will go after my lovers who give my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, my oil and my drink.

Therefore behold, I will hedge your way with thorns, and wall up her wall, that she shall not find her paths.

And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them. She shall seek them, but shall not find them. Then she shall say, I will go and return to my first husband, for then it was better with me than now.

So I will return and take away My grain in its time, and my wine in its season, and will recover my wool and my flax given to cover her nakedness.

And now I will uncover her shamefulness in the sight of her lovers, and none shall deliver her out of my hand.

I will also cause all her joy to cease, her feast days, her new moons, and her sabbaths, and all her appointed feasts.

And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, of which she has said, They are my rewards that my lovers have given me. And I will make them a forest, and the beasts of the field shall eat them.

And I will visit on her the days of the Baals, in which she burned incense to them, and she adorned herself with her nose-rings and her jewels, and she went after her lovers and forgot Me, says Jehovah.

And I will give her vineyards to her from there, and the valley of Achor for a door of hope. And she shall sing there, as in the days of her youth, and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.

For I will take away the names of the Baals out of her mouth, and they will no more be remembered by their name.

And in that day I will cut a covenant for them, with the beasts of the field, and with the birds of the heavens, and with the creeping things of the ground. And I will break the bow and the sword and the battle out of the earth, and will make them to lie down safely.

And I will betroth you to Me forever. Yea, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in loving-kindness, and in mercies.

And it will be, in that day I will answer, says Jehovah. I will answer the heavens, and they shall answer the earth,

and the earth shall hear the grain and the wine and the oil. And they shall hear Jezreel.

And I will sow her to Me in the earth. And I will have mercy on No-mercy. And I will say to Not-my-people, You are My people. And they shall say, My God.

And I said to her, You shall abide for me many days. You shall not be a harlot, nor be for a man. And I also will be for you.

And you shall stumble in the day, and the prophet also shall stumble with you in the night, and I will cut off your mother.

My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I will also reject you from being priest to Me. Since you have forgotten the Law of your God, I will also forget your sons, even I.

And it has become, Like people, like priest; and I will punish them for their ways, and reward them for their doings.

I will not punish your daughters when they fornicate, nor your wives when they commit adultery. For the men themselves go aside with harlots, and they sacrifice with temple prostitutes. The people who do not understand are thrown down.

For Israel slides back like a backsliding heifer. Now Jehovah will feed them as a lamb in a large place.

And revolters have gone deep in slaughtering, and I chasten all of them.

Their doings will not allow them to turn to their God; for the spirit of fornication is in their midst, and they have not known Jehovah.

For I will be to Ephraim as a lion, and as a strong lion to the house of Judah. I, even I, will tear and go away. I will take away, and none shall rescue him.

I will go; I will return to My place until they confess their guilt and seek My face; in their affliction they will seek Me diligently.

After two days He will bring us to life; in the third day He will raise us up, and we shall live in His sight.

And they do not say within their hearts that I remember all their evil. Now their own doings have hemmed them in; they are before My face.

They are all adulterers, like an oven heated by the baker; he stops stirring, from kneading the dough, while it is leavened.

For they have brought their heart near like an oven, while they lie in wait. Their baker sleeps at night; in the morning it burns like a flaming fire.

They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges. All their kings have fallen; there is none among them who calls to Me.

And the pride of Israel testifies to his face. And they do not return to Jehovah their God, nor seek Him in all this.

When they go, I will spread My net on them; I will bring them down like the birds of the heavens; I will chastise them, as a report to their congregation.

Your calf, O Samaria, has cast you off. My anger is kindled against them. Until when will they not attain purity?

Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now I will gather them. And they began to be few, from the burden of the king of rulers.

They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of My offerings, and eat it; but Jehovah does not receive them. Now He will remember their iniquity and punish their sins. They shall return to Egypt.

For Israel has forgotten his Maker, and builds temples. And Judah has multiplied cities. But I will send a fire on his cities, and it shall burn up her palaces.

They shall not pour wine to Jehovah, nor shall they be pleasing to Him. Their sacrifices shall be like the bread of sorrows to them; all who eat of them shall be defiled. For their bread is for their soul, it shall not come into the house of Jehovah.

What will you do in the day of meeting, and in the day of the feast of Jehovah?

The watchman of Ephraim was with my God. The prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.

They have deeply corrupted, as in days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity; He will punish their sins.

Though they bring up their sons, yet I will make them childless, without a man. Yea, woe also to them when I depart from them!

Give them, O Lord; what will You give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.

All their wickedness is in Gilgal, for there I hated them. I will drive them out of My house for the wickedness of their doings. I will love them no more; all their rulers are revolters.

Ephraim is stricken; their root is dried up; they shall bear no fruit. Yea, though they bear, yet I will slay the beloved ones of their womb.

And Ephraim is like a trained heifer, trying to tread out. But I passed over on the goodness of her neck. I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods.

And an uproar shall arise among your peoples, and all your fortresses shall be spoiled, as the ruin of Beth-arbel by Shalman in the day of battle. The mother was dashed in pieces on her sons.

And My people are bent on backsliding from Me. Though they called them to the Most High, none at all would exalt Him.

I will not carry out the heat of My anger; I will not return to destroy Ephraim. For I am God and not man, the Holy One in your midst; and I will not enter into the city.

They shall tremble like a bird out of Egypt, and like a dove out of the land of Assyria. And I will place them in their houses, says Jehovah.

Ephraim feeds on wind and follows after the east wind. He daily multiplies lies and cruelty. And they make a covenant with the Assyrians, and oil is carried into Egypt.

Jehovah also has a quarrel with Judah and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings He will repay him.

And I Jehovah, who have been your God from the land of Egypt, will yet make you to dwell in tents as in the days of the appointed feast.

And now they sin more and more, and have made themselves a molten image of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen. They say of them, Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves.

Therefore I will be as a lion to them; as a leopard by the way I will watch them.

I will meet them like a bereaved bear, and will tear the lining of their heart. And there I will devour them like a lion; the wild beast shall tear them.

Where is your king now, that he may save you in all your cities; and your judges of whom you said, Give me a king and rulers?

I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death. O Death, where are your plagues; O Grave, where is your ruin! Repentance shall be hidden from My eyes.

Though he is fruitful among his brothers, an east wind shall come. The wind of Jehovah shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall be ashamed, and his fountain shall be dried up. He shall plunder the treasure of all desirable vessels.

Take with you words, and turn to Jehovah. Say to Him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously, that we may repay with the calves of our lips.

Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride on horses. Nor shall we say any more to the work of our hands, Our gods, for in You the fatherless finds mercy.

I will be as the dew to Israel; he shall grow as the lily and cast out his roots like Lebanon.
