These, shall ye offer unto Yahweh in your appointed seasons, - besides your vow-offerings and your freewill offerings - as your ascending-sacrifices, and as your meal-offerings, and as your drink-offerings and as your peace-offerings.

So Moses gave the children of Israel all these directions as the Lord had given him orders.

And Moses spake unto the heads of the tribes concerning the children of Israel, saying, This is the thing which the LORD hath commanded.

'When a man voweth a vow to Jehovah, or hath sworn an oath to bind a bond on his soul, he doth not pollute his word; according to all that is going out from his mouth he doth.

"If a young woman who is still living in her father's house makes a vow to the Lord or places herself under an obligation,

and her father hath heard her vow, and her bond which she hath bound on her soul, and her father hath kept silent at her, then have all her vows been established, and every bond which she hath bound on her soul is established.

'And if her father hath disallowed her in the day of his hearing, none of her vows and her bonds which she hath bound on her soul is established, and Jehovah is propitious to her, for her father hath disallowed her.

“But if she marries while under her vows or if she has bound herself by a rash statement,

and her husband hears [of it] and is silent on the day he hears [it], her vows will stand, and her pledge that she bound upon herself will stand.

But if her husband disallow her in the day that he heareth it, then he shall make void her vow which is upon her, and the rash utterance of her lips, wherewith she hath bound her soul: and Jehovah will forgive her.

But every vow of a widow, and of her that is divorced, wherewith they have bound their souls, shall stand against her.

and her husband hath heard, and hath kept silent at her -- he hath not disallowed her -- then have all her vows been established, and every bond which she hath bound on her soul is established.

But if her husband have expressly annulled them on the day that he heard them, then nothing of that which is gone out of her lips as to her vows or the bond on her soul, shall stand: her husband hath annulled them; and Jehovah will pardon her.

As for any vow, or any oath of binding, to humble ones soul, her husband, may make it stand, or, her husband, may make it of none effect.

But if her husband is completely silent from day to day, then he confirms all her vows or all her pledges that [are] on her; he confirms them because he was silent to her on the day he heard [them].

But if at some time after hearing of them, he makes them without force, then he is responsible for her wrongdoing.

These [are] the decrees that Yahweh commanded Moses, as between a husband and his wife, and between a father and his daughter, [while] her childhood [is in] her father's house.

Moses sent 1,000 from each tribe to war. They went with Phinehas son of Eleazar the priest, in whose care were the holy objects and signal trumpets.

Take this tribute from the warriors’ half and give it to Eleazar the priest as an offering to the Lord.

And Moses and Eleazar the priest did as the LORD commanded Moses.

And Moses gave the tribute, which was the LORD'S heave offering, unto Eleazar the priest, as the LORD commanded Moses.

As for the sons of Israel’s half, which Moses separated from the men who had gone to war—

and the company's half is, of the flock three hundred thousand, and thirty thousand, seven thousand and five hundred;

Even of the children of Israel's half, Moses took one portion of fifty, both of man and of beast, and gave them unto the Levites, which kept the charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

And they said unto Moses, Thy servants have taken the sum of the men of war which are under our charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.

So we have brought as an offering to the Lord what each man obtained—articles of gold, armlets, bracelets, signet rings, earrings, necklaces—to make atonement for ourselves before the Lord.”

and all the gold of the heave-offering which they have lifted up to Jehovah is sixteen thousand seven hundred and fifty shekels, from heads of the thousands, and from heads of the hundreds;

because every soldier had confiscated war booty for his own use.

And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold of the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and brought it into the tent of meeting, as a memorial for the children of Israel before Jehovah.

And much cattle hath been to the sons of Reuben and to the sons of Gad, very many; and they see the land of Jazer, and the land of Gilead, and lo, the place is a place for cattle;

As touching Atroth and Dibon, and Jazer and Nimrah, and Heshbon, and Elealeh, - and Sebam and Nebo, and Beon-

Even the country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a land for cattle, and thy servants have cattle:

Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this land be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan.

And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over the Jordan, every man that is armed to battle, before Jehovah, and the land shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the land of Gilead for a possession:

And the children of Gad and the children of Reuben answered, saying, As the LORD hath said unto thy servants, so will we do.

We will pass over armed before Jehovah into the land of Canaan, and the possession of our inheritance'shall remain with us beyond the Jordan.

'And this is to you the north border: from the great sea ye mark out for yourselves mount Hor;

and the border hath gone out to Ziphron, and its outgoings have been at Hazar-Enan; this is to you the north border.

And ye shall mark out for you as eastern border from Hazar-enan to Shepham:

Going down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain, and on as far as the east side of the sea of Chinnereth:

and the border hath gone down to the Jordan, and its outgoings have been at the Salt Sea; this is for you the land by its borders round about.'

And Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying, This is the land which ye shall inherit by lot, which the LORD commanded to give unto the nine tribes, and to the half tribe:

The tribes of Reuben, Gad, and half the tribe of Manasseh, as defined by their ancestral houses, have received their inheritance.

that is, to wit, two tribes and a half have received their inheritance on the other side of Jordan by Jericho eastward, toward the sun-rising."

“These are the names of the men who are to distribute the land as an inheritance for you: Eleazar the priest and Joshua son of Nun.
