For the man on whom this sign of healing was performed was more than forty years old.

But do not yield to them; for more than forty of them are waiting in ambush for him, having bound themselves by an oath neither to eat nor drink until they have killed him; and now they are ready, waiting for the promise from you."

Since you can easily verify that no more than twelve days ago I went up to Jerusalem to worship.

But Felix, having a more exact knowledge about the Way, put them off, saying, "When Lysias the commander comes down, I will decide your case."
