so Job opens his mouth in vanity. He multiplies words without knowledge.

Allow me a little, and I will show thee. For I have yet somewhat to say on God's behalf.

Who has enjoined him his way? Or who can say, Thou have wrought unrighteousness?

Behold, he spreads his light around him, and he covers the bottom of the sea.

Teach us what we shall say to him. We cannot set in array because of darkness.

And now men do not see the light which is bright in the skies, but the wind passes, and clears them.

Or [who] shut up the sea with doors when it broke forth, [like] it had issued out of the womb,

Have thou entered into the springs of the sea? Or have thou walked in the recesses of the deep?

Can thou send forth lightnings, that they may go, and say to thee, Here we are?

Lay thy hand upon him. Remember the battle, and do so no more.

None is so fierce that he dare stir him up. Who then is he who can stand before me?

One is so near to another that no air can come between them.

They are joined one to another. They stick together, so that they cannot be parted.

He makes the deep to boil like a pot. He makes the sea like a pot of ointment.

And it was so, that, after LORD had spoken these words to Job, LORD said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends. For ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Jo

So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went and did according as LORD commanded them, and LORD accepted Job.

So LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. And he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she-donkeys.

And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job. And their father gave them inheritance among their brothers.

And after this Job lived a hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, [even] four generations.

The wicked are not so, but are like the chaff which the wind drives away.

Many there are who say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.

Many there are who say, Who will show us good? LORD, lift thou up the light of thy countenance upon us.

the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes through the paths of the seas.

Why does the wicked man despise God, and say in his heart, Thou will not require [it]?

In LORD I take refuge. How will ye say to my soul, Flee [as] a bird to your mountain.

lest my enemy say, I have prevailed against him, [lest] my adversaries rejoice when I am moved.

LORD looked down from heaven upon the sons of men to see if there were any who understood, who sought after God.

I will smite them through, so that they shall not be able to rise. They shall fall under my feet.

Thou have given him his heart's desire, and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah.

All those who see me laugh me to scorn. They shoot out the lip. They shake the head, [saying],

Save me from the lion's mouth, yea, from the horns of the wild-oxen. Thou have answered me.

I will wash my hands in innocence, so I will encompass thine altar, O LORD,

For thou are my rock and my fortress. Therefore for thy name's sake lead me and guide me.

I have become a reproach because of all my adversaries, yea, to my neighbors exceedingly, and a fear to my acquaintances. Those who saw me outside fled from me.

He gathers the waters of the sea together as a heap. He lays up the deeps in store-houses.

Draw out the spear also, and stop the way against those who pursue me. Say to my soul, I am thy salvation.

All my bones shall say, LORD, who is like thee, who delivers a poor man from him who is too strong for him, yea, a poor and needy man from him who robs him?

Let them not say in their heart, Aha, so would we have it. Let them not say, We have swallowed him up.

Let them shout for joy, and be glad, who favor my righteous cause. Yea, let them say continually, LORD be magnified, who has pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.

Wait for LORD, and keep his way, and he will exalt thee to inherit the land. When sinners are cut off, thou shall see it.

for innumerable evils have encompassed me around. My iniquities have overtaken me, so that I am not able to look up. They are more than the hairs of my head, and my heart has failed me.

Let them be desolate because of their shame who say to me, Aha, aha.

Let all those who seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee. Let such as love thy salvation say continually, LORD be magnified.

And if he comes to see [me], he speaks falsehood. His heart gathers iniquity to itself. When he goes abroad, he tells it.

An evil disease, [they say], clings firm to him. And now that he lays he shall rise up no more.

As the hart pants after the water brooks, so my soul pants after thee, O God.

I will say to God my rock, Why have thou forgotten me? Why do I go mourning because of the oppression of the enemy?

Thine arrows are sharp. The peoples fall under thee. [They are] in the heart of the king's enemies.

With gladness and rejoicing they shall be led. They shall enter into the king's palace.

They saw it, then were they amazed. They were dismayed, they hastened away.

As we have heard, so we have seen in the city of LORD of hosts, in the city of our God, God will establish it forever. Selah.

As is thy name, O God, so is thy praise to the ends of the earth. Thy right hand is full of righteousness.

that he should still live always, that he should not see corruption.

he shall go to the generation of his fathers. They shall never see the light.

The righteous also shall see, and fear, and shall laugh at him, [saying],

which hearkens not to the voice of charmers, charming ever so wisely.

so that men shall say, Truly there is a reward for the righteous man. Truly there is a God who judges in the earth.
