and the tribute for Jehovah of the sheep was six hundred and seventy-five;

and the oxen were thirty-six thousand, and the tribute thereof for Jehovah, seventy-two;

and the asses were thirty thousand five hundred, and the tribute thereof for Jehovah, sixty-one;

and the human persons were sixteen thousand, of whom the tribute for Jehovah was thirty-two persons.

Moses gave the tribute to Eleazar the priest as a contribution for the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

As for the sons of Israel’s half, which Moses separated from the men who had gone to war—

And let the people keep the man responsible for the death safe from the hands of him who has the right of punishment for blood, and send him back to his safe town where he had gone in flight: there let him be till the death of the high priest who was marked with the holy oil.

and the redeemer of blood hath found him at the outside of the border of the city of his refuge, and the redeemer of blood hath slain the man-slayer, blood is not for him;

for the manslayer should have remained in the city of his refuge until the death of the high-priest; but after the death of the high-priest he may return into the land of his possession.

So these things shall be for a statute of judgment unto you throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Whosoever slayeth, shall be slain at the mouth of witnesses. For one witness shall not answer against one person to put him to death.
