In the days of Herod, the king of Judea, there was a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abijah. And his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elizabeth.

And Zacharias said to the angel, By what shall I know this? For I am old, and my wife is advanced in her days.

And the angel came in to her and said, Hail, one receiving grace, the Lord is with you. Blessed are you among women.

And the angel said to her, Do not fear, Mary, for you have found favor with God.

And behold, your cousin Elizabeth also conceived a son in her old age. And this is the sixth month with her who was called barren.

And blessed is she who believes, for there shall be a perfecting of those things which were told her from the Lord.

And Mary stayed with her about three months, and returned to her own house.

And the time was fulfilled to Elizabeth for her to bear. And she bore a son.

And her neighbors and her kinsfolk heard how the Lord had magnified His mercy with her, and they rejoiced with her.

And they said to her, There is none of your kindred that is called by this name.

And while they were there, the days for her deliverance were fulfilled.

And when the days of her purification according to the Law of Moses were fulfilled, they brought Him to Jerusalem, to present Him to the Lord

And there was a prophetess, Anna, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced in many days, and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity.

And he brought Him to Jerusalem and sat Him on a pinnacle of the temple and said to Him, If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here.

And He said to them, You will surely say this proverb to Me, Physician, heal yourself. Whatever we have heard done in Capernaum, do also here in your native-place.

Therefore I say to you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, he loves little.

And there was there a herd of many pigs feeding on the mountain. And they begged Him that He would allow them to enter into them. And He allowed them.

And coming out of the man, the demons entered into the pigs. And the herd ran violently down a steep place into the lake and were choked.

And a woman who had a flow of blood twelve years (who had spent all her living on physicians, and could not be healed by any)

came behind Him and touched the border of His garment. And instantly her flow of blood was staunched.

And all were weeping and bewailing her. But He said, Do not weep; she has not died, but sleeps.

And He put them all out. And He took her by the hand and called, saying, Little girl, arise!

And her spirit came again, and she arose immediately. And He commanded that food be given her to eat.

And her parents were astonished. But He charged them to tell no one the thing that happened.

But the day began to wear away, and coming up the Twelve said to Him, Send the crowd away so that they may go into the villages and farms all around, and lodge, and get food. For we are here in a deserted place.

But I tell you truly, there are some standing here who shall not taste of death until they see the kingdom of God.

And in their parting from Him, it happened that Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here. And let us make three tabernacles, one for You and one for Moses and one for Elijah; not knowing what he said.

The men of Nineveh shall rise up in the Judgment with this generation and shall condemn it. For they repented at the preaching of Jonah. And behold, One greater than Jonah is here.

And when Jesus saw her, He called and said to her, Woman, you are delivered from your infirmity.
