Husbands, love your wives, as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it;

That they instruct the young women to be wise, to love their husbands,

The married I command, yet not I, but the Lord, Let not the wife depart from her husband.

Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as unto the Lord.

And I myself also am persuaded of you, my brethren, that ye likewise are full of goodness, being filled with all knowledge, and able to admonish one another.

I do not write these things to shame you, but as my beloved children I warn you.

And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath, but bring them up in the instruction and discipline of the Lord.

Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart unto the Lord.

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn the disorderly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak, be long suffering toward all men.

But every one that heareth these my sayings, and doth them not, shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house on the sand.

To the weak I became as weak, that I might gain the weak: I became all things to all men, that by all means I might save some.

I have shewed you all things, that thus labouring ye ought to help the infirm, and to remember the word of the Lord Jesus, which he himself said, It is happier to give than to receive.

Therefore we who are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to please ourselves.

For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in; Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me; I was in prison, and ye came to me.

Therefore if thy enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink; for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head.

But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you:

If ye fulfil the royal law (according to the Scripture) Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well.

This is the first commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these.

Love worketh no evil to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

And the king shall answer and say to them, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye did it to one of the least of these my brethren, ye did it to me. Then shall he say also to them on his left-hand, Depart from me, ye cursed into the everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry, and ye gave me no meat; I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me not in; naked, and ye clothed me not; sick and in prison, and ye visited me not. Then shall they also answer him saying, Lord, when saw we thee hungry, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not micister to thee? And these shall go away into everlasting punishment; but the righteous into life everlasting.

And behold, a certain scribe stood up, and trying him, said, Master, what shall I do, to inherit eternal life? He said to him, What is written in the law? How readest thou? And he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thy mind; and thy neighbour as thyself. read more.
And he said to him, Thou hast answered right: this do and thou shalt live. But he willing to justify himself, said to Jesus, And who is my neighbour? And Jesus answering said, A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among robbers, who having stripped and wounded him departed, leaving him half dead. But a certain Samaritan journeying, came where he was, and seeing him, was moved with tender compassion, And going to him, bound up his wounds, pouring in oil and wine, and setting him on his own beast, he brought him to an inn, and took care of him. And on the morrow departing, he took out two pieces of money, and gave them to the host, and said to him, Take care of him; and whatsoever thou spendest more, as I come back I will repay thee. Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was the neighbour to him that fell among the robbers? And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus to him, Go and do thou likewise.

And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love towards one another and towards all men, as we also do towards you,

Let brotherly love continue.

See that none render to any man evil for evil, but ever follow that which is good, both to one another and to all men. Rejoice evermore: Pray without ceasing: In every thing give thanks; read more.
for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the God of peace himself sanctify you wholly: and may the whole of you, the spirit and the soul and the body, be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it. Brethren, pray for us. Salute all the brethren with an holy kiss. I charge you by the Lord, that this epistle be read to all the brethren. And when Silas and Timothy were come from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in spirit, and testified to the Jews, that Jesus was the Christ.

For we cannot but speak the things, which we have seen and heard.

And now behold, being bound by the Spirit, I go to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:

And we all with unveiled face, beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord.

And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Ruling his own house well, having his children in subjection with all seriousness.

Let the deacons be husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.

Having purified your souls by obeying the truth thro' the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, love one another with a pure heart fervently:

Beloved, let us love one another; for love is of God, and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.

Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil, cleave to that which is good.

For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, thou shalt not covet, and if there be any other commandment, it is summed up in this saying, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Forgive me this wrong. Behold the third time I am ready to come to you: yet I will not be burdensom to you; for I seek not yours, but you; for the children ought not to lay up treasure for the parents, but the parents for the children.

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of; for a necessity lieth upon me, and wo is me, if I preach not the gospel.

And let him that thirsteth, come: let him that willeth, take the water of life freely.

Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eye-service, as men-pleasers, but in singleness of heart, fearing God.

As obedient children, not conforming yourselves to your former desires, in your ignorance; But as he who hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation:

Masters, give your servants that which is just and equitable, knowing that ye also have a master in heaven.

Let as many servants as are under the yoke, account their masters worthy of all honour; lest the name of God and his doctrine be blasphemed.

Servants, obey your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of heart, as unto the Lord:

For whosoever will save his life, shall lose it, and whosoever will lose his life for my sake, shall find it.

On these two commandments

And ye masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatning, knowing that your master is in heaven, and there is no respect of persons with him.

Honour the king, Servants be subject to your masters with all fear, not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward.

Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.

As every one hath received a gift, so minister it one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.

But exhort one another daily, while it is called to day, lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin:

And having called ten of his servants, he gave them ten pounds, and said unto them, Trade till I come.

For I have given you an example, that ye also may do as I have done to you.

And he said to all, if any man be willing to come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow me.

I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day; the night is coming, when no man can work.

Remembering the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; I am persuaded in thee also.
