with a view to an administration suitable to the fullness of the times, that is, the summing up of all things in Christ, things in the heavens and things on the earth. In Him

who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.

How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

This was done so that now God's many-sided wisdom could be made known through the church, to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms [Note: "Heavenly realms" here refers to the world around us, where these angelic beings (good or bad) view the unfolding of God's wonderful plan],

Being one body, acted by one spirit, since you all have but one expectation in view;

for the perfecting of the saints; with a view to the work of the ministry, with a view to the edifying of the body of Christ;

in order that we may be no longer babes, tossed and carried about by every wind of that teaching which is in the sleight of men, in unprincipled cunning with a view to systematized error;

Put on the complete armour of God, with a view to your having power to stand against the strategies of the adversary;

So take God's armour, that you may be able to make a stand upon the evil day and hold your ground by overcoming all the foe.

With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints,
