night and day he was in the mountains, howling among the tombs, and hacking his flesh with flints.

He said to them, "Are you so foolish? Don't you understand that whatever goes into a person from outside cannot defile him?

The taking of goods and of life, broken faith between husband and wife, the desire of wealth, wrongdoing, deceit, sins of the flesh, an evil eye, angry words, pride, foolish acts:

And as quick as a flash, on looking around, they saw no one with them but Jesus by Himself.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and the two shall be one flesh;

And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.

Watch ye and pray, lest ye enter into temptation. The spirit truly is ready, but the flesh is weak.
