'Need' in the Bible

Because they all put in something out of what they had no need for; but she out of her need put in all she had, even all her living.

And Jesus made answer to him, It has been said in the Writings, Bread is not man's only need.

And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.

And Jesus said, Have you not seen in the Writings what David did when he was in need of food, he, and those who were with him;

But there's only one thing you need. Mary has chosen what is better, and it is not to be taken away from her."

'I say to you, even if he will not give to him, having risen, because of his being his friend, yet because of his importunity, having risen, he will give him as many as he doth need;

For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things.

The woman said to him, Sir, give me this water, so that I may not be in need again of drink and will not have to come all this way for it.

The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming (He who is called Christ—the Anointed); when that One comes, He will tell us everything [we need to know].”

But I have no need of a man's witness: I only say these things so that you may have salvation.

Then Jesus took the cakes and having given praise to God, he gave them to the people who were seated, and the fishes in the same way, as much as they had need of.

If anyone serves Me, he must [continue to faithfully] follow Me [without hesitation, holding steadfastly to Me, conforming to My example in living and, if need be, suffering or perhaps dying because of faith in Me]; and wherever I am [in heaven’s glory], there will My servant be also. But if any man think that he behaveth himself uncomely toward his virgin, if she pass the flower of her age, and need so require, let him do what he will, he sinneth not: let them marry.

But he who stands firm in his heart, having no need, but has authority over his own will, and has judged this in his heart to keep his own virginity, he does well.
