For Christ sent me not to immerse, but to proclaim the Gospel; not in wisdom of speech, lest the cross of Christ should be made void.

I fed you with milk, and not solid food; for not yet were ye able to bear it; nay, nor even now are ye able;

But food will not commend us to God; neither, if we eat not, are we lacking; nor, if we eat, do we abound.

Wherefore, if food causes my brother to stumble, I will in no wise eat flesh forevermore; that I cause not my brother to stumble.

But I have used none of these things; and I wrote not these things, that it may be so done in my case; for it were good for me rather to die, than that any one should make my glorying void.

I, therefore, so run, as not uncertainly I so fight, as not beating the air.

If the foot should say, "Because I am not a hand, I am not of the body"; it is not, therefore, not of the body.

And the eye cannot say to the hand, "I have no need of you"; nor again the head to the feet, "I have no need of you."

for He must reign, till He hath put all the enemies under His feet.

for He put all things in subjection under His feet. But, when He saith, "All things have been put in subjection," it is evident that He is excepted, Who subjected all things to Him.
