And what I am doing I will continue to do, so that I may eliminate any opportunity for those who want a chance to be regarded as our equals in the things they boast about.
Again I say, Let not any one think me to be a fool; but if otherwise, receive me then even as a fool, that I also may boast myself some little.
For ye bear with it - if anyone enslaveth you, if any devoureth, if anyone taketh, if anyone lifteth himself up, if anyone, on the face, doth smite you!
I say that I was weak, and yet for whatever reason any one is bold (I speak in mere folly) I too am bold.
If there is to be any boasting, I will boast of what I am weak enough to suffer!
I must boast, although it does not do any good. Let's talk about visions and revelations from the Lord.
I might glory in being the man; but I will not glory in any thing relating to myself, unless it be my sufferings.
If I should choose to continue boasting I should not be foolish, for I should be speaking the truth. But I refrain, lest by the stupendous grandeur of the revelation any one should estimate me beyond what he sees in me, or hears from me.
but He has said to me,
I have become foolish [i.e., by my boasting], but you made me do it [i.e., in order to vindicate myself]. For I should have been commended by you [i.e., for my effective ministry there in Corinth], because I was not inferior in any way to those "super apostles" [See 11:5], even though I am nothing.
In what respect, then, were you inferior to the rest of the churches, except for the fact that I, and I only, never received from you any financial support? Please forgive me this wrong.
'tis own'd I did not put you to any charges myself: but was so crafty, as to over-reach you, by others.
Did I make gain of you through any of those whom I sent to you?
I exhorted Titus, and I sent the brother with him. Did Titus take any advantage of you? walked we not in the same spirit? walked we not in the same steps?
For I fear - lest, by any means, when I come, not such as I wish, should I find you, and, I, should be found by you, such as ye do not wish; - lest, by any means, I should find strife, jealousy, outbursts of wrath, factions, railings, whisperings, puffed up pretensions, confusions; -
This is my third visit to you. Any charge preferred must be sustained by the evidence of two or three witnesses.
Now we pray to God that you not do wrong in any way, not that we are seen as approved, but that you do what is good, even [though] we are [seen] as though unqualified.

which is really not another [gospel]; but there are [obviously]
But even though I myself or an angel from heaven were to preach any gospel other than that which I did preach to you, let him be accursed.
I have said it before, and I now repeat it, if any one is preaching a gospel to you other than that which you have received, let him be accursed.
For I want you to know,
for I did not get it from any man; I was not taught it, but I got it through a revelation given by Jesus Christ.
that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I did not thereupon apply my self to any man;
But I didn’t see any of the other apostles except James,
Now [realizing I am] in God's presence, I am not lying about any of these things.
(I went up at that time in obedience to a revelation). And I laid before them the gospel which I am wont to preach among the Gentiles. I did this privately before those in authority, lest by any means I should be running, or should already have run, in vain.
But as for those who were men of real eminency, how considerable soever they were heretofore, it does not any ways affect me; God accepts not the person of any man: for they who were of note, in conference with me, had nothing new to add.
Until some men arrived from James, he was in the habit of eating with the gentiles, but after those men came, he withdrew from the gentiles and would not associate with them any longer, because he was afraid of the circumcision party.
yet we know that a man is not
For if I [or anyone else should] rebuild [through word or by practice] what I once tore down [the belief that observing the Law is essential for salvation], I prove myself to be a transgressor.

For it is written, "Rejoice, you childless woman, who cannot give birth to any children! Break into song and shout, you who feel no pains of childbirth! For the children of the deserted woman are more numerous than the children of the woman who has a husband."
with the freedom for which Christ set us free. Make a firm stand then, do not slip into any yoke of servitude.
I again insist that if any man lets himself be circumcised, he is under obligation to obey the whole law.
Christ has become nothing to any of you who are seeking acceptance with God through the Law: you have fallen away from grace.
because in Christ neither circumcision has any value, nor uncircumcision, but faith which works through love.
I, am persuaded regarding you, in the Lord - that, for nothing else, ye will have any regard; but, he that is troubling you, shall bear the sentence, - whosoever he may be.
Even if any one should be overtaken in a fault, brothers, you that are spiritual ought, in a gentle spirit, to restore such a one, each one of you looking to himself, lest you too be tempted.

For neither is circumcision anything [of any importance], nor uncircumcision, but [only] a new creation [which is the result of a new birth—a spiritual transformation—a new nature in Christ Jesus].
From now on, let no one cause me any trouble, for I bear the marks of Jesus branded on my body.
not as a result of [your] works [nor your attempts to keep the Law], so that no one will [be able to] boast or take credit in any way [for his salvation].

But sexual immorality

always when offering any prayer on behalf of you all, finding a joy in offering it.
and so most of the Christian brothers have been exceedingly encouraged by my example to declare God's message without any fear of the consequences.
What then? That, in any way, whether in pretext, or in truth, Christ, is declared, and, in this, I rejoice - yea, and will rejoice!
not being frightened in any way by your opponents.
If there be, therefore, any encouragement in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of spirit, if any tender affections and compassions,
if any bowels of compassion, compleat ye my joy, be like-minded, maintaining the same love, with your souls united, in attending to the one thing needful.
Do everything without any grumbling or disputing,
so that you may be blameless and innocent, God's children without any faults among a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine like stars in the world
because it was for the sake of Christ's work that he came so near death, hazarding, as he did, his very life in endeavouring to make good any deficiency that there might be in your gifts to me.
for we are the genuine sons of Abraham, who worship God in the spiritual manner, and value no other dependance than that on Jesus Christ, without confiding in any external advantages:
though I myself might have [some grounds for] confidence in the flesh [if I were pursuing salvation by works]. If anyone else thinks that he has reason to be confident in the flesh [that is, in his own efforts to achieve salvation], I have far more:
and may be found in Him [believing and relying on Him], not having any righteousness of my own derived from [my obedience to] the Law and its rituals, but [possessing] that [genuine righteousness] which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith.
If in any way I may have the reward of life from the dead.
All of us who are mature [pursuing spiritual perfection] should have this attitude. And if in any respect you have a different attitude, that too God will make clear to you.
In any case, we should live up to whatever truth we have attained.
Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God.
Then, through your union with Christ Jesus, the peace of God, so far above any human thought, will guard your minds and thoughts.
Finally,
Not that I speak from [any personal] need, for I have learned to be content [and self-sufficient through Christ, satisfied to the point where I am not disturbed or uneasy] regardless of my circumstances.
I know how to get along and live humbly [in difficult times], and I also know how to enjoy abundance and live in prosperity. In any and every circumstance I have learned the secret [of facing life], whether well-fed or going hungry, whether having an abundance or being in need.
and you yourselves know, O Philippians, that when I first preach'd the gospel, at my departure from Macedonia, I receiv'd no manner of assistance from any other church but yours;
Yes, He is the exact likeness of the unseen God, His first-born Son who existed before any created thing,
And I say this so that not any man may delude you with persuasive speech.
Take heed lest there will be any man taking you captive through the love of wisdom and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the rudiments of the world, and not according to Christ.
Let not any man therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or in the matter of a festival or a new moon or Sabbaths,

For the wrongdoer will have punishment for the wrong he has done, without respect for any man's position.
let your talk always have a saving salt of grace about it, and learn how to answer any question put to you.
