The LORD talked with you face to face in the mount out of the fire.

and rewardeth them that hate him before his face so that he bringeth them to nought, and will not defer the time unto him that hateth him but will reward him before his face.

these tribulations are come upon us.' But I will hide my face that same time for all the evil's sake which they shall have wrought, in that they are turned unto strange gods.

And he said, 'I will hide my face from them and will see what their end shall be. For they are a froward generation, and children in whom is no faith.
