They say to themselves, "We will not be moved throughout all time, and we will not experience adversity."

The wicked say to themselves, "God has forgotten, he has hidden his face, he will never see it."

Why do the wicked despise God and say to themselves, "God will not seek justice."?

I take refuge in the LORD. So how can you say to me, "Flee like a bird to the mountains."?

Fools say to themselves, "There is no God." They are corrupt and commit evil deeds; not one of them practices what is good.

Take out the spear and the ax to confront the one who pursues me; say to me, "I am your deliverer!"

You see this, LORD, so do not be silent. Lord, do not be far from me!

Let shame be the reward for those who say to me, "Aha! Aha!"

How pleasing is what you have to say to me tasting better than honey.

So I say to the LORD, "You are my God; listen to my voice as I plead for mercy, LORD.
