The cities of Oraru will be deserted they will be devoted to herds that will lay at rest, and terrorism will be no more.

Nor will he look to that which his fingers have made,
Even the Asherim and incense stands.

In that day, shall his fortified cities become Like a neglected bough and a topmost branch, Which they neglected because of the sons of Israel, - So shall there be desolation.

For you have forgotten the God of your salvation and have not remembered the Rock that is your strength. Therefore even though you plant delightful plants, sowing them with imported vine-seedlings,

In the day that you plant it you carefully fence it in,
And in the morning you bring your seed to blossom;
But the harvest will be a heap
In a day of sickliness and incurable pain.

Ah, the uproar of many peoples, that roar like the roaring of the seas; and the rushing of nations, that rush like the rushing of mighty waters!

The nations roar like the rushing of many waters, but the LORD will rebuke them, and they will run far away, chased like chaff blown down from the mountains or like thick dust that rolls along, blown along by a wind storm.

behold, at eventide, trouble; before the morning they are not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.

Ho, land shadowed with wings, That is beyond the rivers of Cush,

In that time, shall there be borne along. In that day, shall there be An altar unto Yahweh, in the midst of the land of Egypt, - And a pillar near the boundary thereof unto Yahweh;

And it shall become a sign and a witness unto Yahweh of hosts in the land of Egypt, - For they will make outcry unto Yahweh, because of oppressors, That he would send them a saviour - and a great one Then will he deliver them.

Then will, Yahweh, make himself known, to the Egyptians, So shall the Egyptians know, Yahweh, in that day, - And they will offer a sacrifice and a present And will vow a vow unto Yahweh and will perform.

At that time, they will worship with sacrifices and offerings, and they will make vows to the LORD and carry them out. The LORD will strike Egypt with a plague, striking but then healing. Then they will turn to the LORD, and he will respond to their pleas and heal them.

In that day, shall there be a highway. from Egypt to Assyria, And, the Assyrians, shall come into Egypt, And, the Egyptians, into Assyria; And, the Egyptians shall serve, with the Assyrians.

In that day, shall, Israel, be, a third, with Egypt and with Assyria, - A blessing in the midst of the earth:

The oracle on the valley of vision, - What aileth thee, then, That thou art wholly gone up to the house-tops?

Thou that wast full of stir, a town of tumult, a joyous city: thy slain men are not slain with the sword, nor dead in battle.

And it shall come to pass in that day, That I will call for my servant, for Eliakim son of Hilkiah,

In that day, - Declareth Yahweh of hosts Shall the peg, give way, that was fastened in a sure place, - Yea it shall be cut off and fall And the burden that was upon it shall perish, For, Yahweh, hath spoken!

The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish! for it is laid waste, so that there is no house, none entering in. From the land of Chittim it is revealed to them.

Be still, ye inhabitants of the isle! The merchants of Sidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished thee.

Get you to Tarshish; mourn ye that dwell in the Isles.

Is not that the glorious city, which hath been of long antiquity? Whose natives dwelling far off, commend her so greatly?

Who has planned this against Tyre, that bestower of crowns, whose merchants were princes, whose traders were the most renowned on earth?

Even the LORD of Hosts hath devised it, that he may put down all pomp, and minish all the Glory of the world.

He that smote the kingdoms together holdeth out his hand over the sea: even the LORD himself hat given a commandment against that mighty Canaan, to root it out.

Lo! the land of the Chaldeans, This is the people that was not, Assyria, founded it for the inhabitants of the desert, - They set up its siege-towers, They demolished its palaces Made it a ruin!

So shall it be in that day, That Tyre shall be forgotten seventy years, According to the days of a certain king: At the end of seventy years, shall it befall Tyre according to the song of the harlot:

Take thou a lyre, Go round the city, O harlot forgotten, - Sweetly touch the strings Lengthen out the song, That thou mayest be called to mind.

So shall it be, at the end of seventy years, That Yahweh will visit Tyre, And she will return to her hire, - Yea she will play the harlot - with all the kingdoms of the earth, upon the face of the ground.

But her merchandise and her hire, shall be hallowed unto Yahweh, It shall not be stored up, nor hoarded, - For, to them who dwell before Yahweh, shall her merchandise belong, That they may eat to satisfaction And have stately apparel.

Then shall the priest be as the people, the master as the servant, the dame like the maid, the seller like the buyer, he that lendeth upon usury, like him that borroweth upon usury, the creditor as the debtor.

Therefore doth the curse devour the earth, and they that dwell therein are held guilty; therefore the inhabitants of the earth are consumed, and few men are left.

The new wine mourneth, the vine languisheth, all that were merry-hearted do sigh;

the mirth of tambours ceaseth, the noise of them that rejoice endeth, the joy of the harp ceaseth.

They do not drink wine with a song; strong drink is bitter to them that drink it.

Broken down is the city of desolation, - Shut up every house that it cannot be entered.

For it shall happen unto all lands and to all people, like as when a man smiteth down the olives, that are left upon the tree: or seeketh after grapes, when the wine gathering is out.

And those same that remain shall lift up their voice, and be glad, and shall magnify the glory of the LORD, even from the sea

Fearfulness, the pit, and the snare are upon thee, O thou that dwellest upon the earth.

So shall it be - He that fleeth from the sound of the terror! shall fall into the pit, And I he that getteth up out of the midst of the pit, shall be captured in the snare, - For, the windows on high, have opened, And shaken are the foundations of earth.

The earth will be moving uncertainly, like a man overcome by drink; it will be shaking like a tent; and the weight of its sin will be on it, crushing it down so that it will not get up again.

And it shall be in that day, That Yahweh will bring punishment Upon the host of the height in the height, - And upon the kings of the ground on the ground.

For thou art the poor man's help, and strength for the needful in his necessity. Thou art a defense against evil weather and a shadow against the heat, when the blast of the raging men is like a storm that casteth down a wall.

And he will swallow up in this mountain, The mask of the veil, the veil that is upon all the peoples, - And the web that is woven over all the nations.

So shall it he said, in that day, Lo! our God, is this! We waited for him, that he might save us, - This, is Yahweh! We waited for him, Let us exult and rejoice in his salvation.

and he shall spread forth his hands in the midst of them, as he that swimmeth spreadeth them forth to swim; and he shall bring down their pride together with the plots of their hands.

In that day, shall be sung this song, in the land of Judah, - A strong city, have we! Salvation, will he set for walls and rampart,

Open ye the gates, - That there may enter in - a righteous nation preserving fidelity.

And thou, which art the doer and hast the matter in hand: shall provide for peace, even the peace that men hope for in thee.

For he bringeth down them that dwell on high; the lofty city, he layeth it low, he layeth it low to the ground, he bringeth it even to the dust.

that they may be trodden under the feet of the simple, and with the steps of the poor.

The way of the just is uprightness: thou that art upright dost direct the path of the just.

But the ungodly, though he have received grace, yet learneth he not righteousness: but in that place where he is punished, he offendeth, and feareth not the glory of the LORD.

The dead will not come back to life: their spirits will not come back to earth; for this cause you have sent destruction on them, so that the memory of them is dead.

As a woman with child, that draweth near her delivery, is in travail, and crieth out in her pangs; so have we been before thee, Jehovah.

Thy dead, shall come to life again, My dead body, they shall arise, - Awake and shout for joy, ye that dwell in the dust For, a dew of light, is thy dew, And, earth, to the shades shall give birth.
