He told his people, "Look, the Israeli people are more numerous and more powerful than we are.

But the more the Egyptians afflicted the Israelis, the more they multiplied and flourished, so that the Egyptians became terrified of the Israelis.

I'll harden Pharaoh's heart and I'll add more and more of my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt.

Then the LORD told Moses, "I'll bring one more plague on Pharaoh and Egypt. After that he'll let you leave from here, and when he lets you go, he will certainly drive you out from here.

When they came to Marah, they could not drink the water at Marah because it was bitter. (That is why it's called Marah.)

So Moses cried out to the LORD: "What am I to do with these people? Just a little more and they'll stone me."

"You are to take for yourself the finest spices: 500 shekelsby weight of liquid myrrh, half as much fragrant cinnamon (250 shekels), 250 shekels of fragrant reeds,

and told Moses, "The people are bringing much more than enough for the work that the LORD has commanded us to do."

Then Moses issued an order, and the message was taken throughout the camp, "Men and women, don't bring any more offerings for the sanctuary." The people were restrained from bringing any more,

since the material was more than sufficient for doing all the work.
