Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
So God abandoned them, with their heart's cravings, to impurity, and let them degrade their own bodies.
Far be it! But let, God, prove to be, true, albeit, every man, be false! Even as it is written - That thou mightest be declared righteous in thy words, and overcome when thou art in judgment.
let it not be! since how shall God judge the world?
And why not, according as we are injuriously charged, and according as some affirm that we say, Let us do the bad things, that the good ones may come? whose sentence is, just.

Law then do we make useless through the faith? let it not be! yea, we do establish law.

And, not only so, but let us boast also in our tribulations; knowing that, our tribulation, worketh out endurance.
Do we then conclude thus, let us continue in sin, that the divine favour may be more fully display'd?
let it not be! we who died to the sin -- how shall we still live in it?
So let it be with you-regard yourselves as dead to sin, but as living for God, through union with Christ Jesus.
Let not sin, therefore, reign in your death-doomed body, that ye should be obedient to its covetings;
you must not let sin have your members for the service of vice, you must dedicate yourselves to God as men who have been brought from death to life, dedicating your members to God for the service of righteousness.

What, then, shall we say? unrighteousness is with God? let it not be!

Now, having gifts of favour, according to the favour given unto us, differing - whether prophesying, let us use it according to the proportion of our faith,
Or ministering, use it in our ministering, or he that teacheth, let him use his gift in his teaching,
Or he that exhorteth, in his exhorting, he that imparteth, let it be with liberality, he that taketh a lead, with diligence, he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.
Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
Let not that business which ye have in hand be tedious to you. Be fervent in the spirit. Apply yourselves to the time.
let your hope be a joy to you; be stedfast in trouble, attend to prayer,
have the same respect for one another. let not your behaviour be haughty, but soften'd to the condition of those below you. be not wise in your own conceits.
Do not give evil for evil to any man. Let all your business be well ordered in the eyes of all men.
Never revenge yourselves, beloved, but let the Wrath of God have its way; for it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will exact a requital ??the Lord has said it. No,
Do not let evil overcome you, but overcome evil by good.

But if the one who is not a Christian has a desire to go away, let it be so: the brother or the sister in such a position is not forced to do one thing or the other: but it is God's pleasure that we may be at peace with one another.
Only, as the Lord has given to a man, and as is the purpose of God for him, so let him go on living. And these are my orders for all the churches.
If any man who is a Christian has had circumcision, let him keep so; and if any man who is a Christian has not had circumcision, let him make no change.
Let every man keep the position in which he has been placed by God.
If you were a servant when you became a Christian, let it not be a grief to you; but if you have a chance to become free, make use of it.
You have been bought and paid for; you must not let yourselves become slaves to men.
My brothers, let every man keep in that condition which is the purpose of God for him.

But if, in any man's opinion, he is not doing what is right for his virgin, if she is past her best years, and there is need for it, let him do what seems right to him; it is no sin; let them be married.
But for my part, I have never availed myself of any of these rights. I do not say this to bring it about in my own case. I would rather die than let any one make void this boast of mine.
Do you not see that in a running competition all take part, but only one gets the reward? So let your minds be fixed on the reward.
Let's stop being idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, "The people sat down to eat and drink and got up to play."
Again, let us not give way to the desires of the flesh, as some of them did, of whom twenty-three thousand came to their end in one day.
And let us not put the Lord to the test, as some of them did, and came to their death by snakes.
