so that you attend to wisdom, you shall extend your heart to understanding;

First of all, then, I exhort that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, so that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence.




Feed me with raisin cakes, comfort me with apples, for I am sick with love.

Set me as a seal on Your heart, as a seal on Your arm; for love is strong as death. Jealousy is cruel as the grave; its flames are flames of fire, a flame of Jehovah.





Tell me, You whom my soul loves, where do You feed, where do You lie down at noon? For why should I be as one who is veiled beside the flocks of Your companions?


Many waters cannot quench love, nor will the rivers overflow it. If a man would give all the wealth of his house for love, it would be scorned.






Therefore I say to you, Her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom little is forgiven, he loves little.


Not to us, O Jehovah, not to us, but to Your name give glory, for Your mercy and for Your truth's sake.

O give thanks to Jehovah, for He is good, for His mercy endures forever.

O give thanks to Jehovah; for He is good; because His mercy endures forever. Let Israel now say that His mercy endures forever. Let the house of Aaron now say that His mercy endures forever. read more.

Oh give thanks to Jehovah; for He is good; for His mercy endures forever.


And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and mercy be upon them and upon the Israel of God.

May the Lord grant to him that he may find mercy from the Lord in that Day. And in what things he ministered to me at Ephesus, you know very well.



To the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your loving-kindness; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies, blot out my transgressions.

Remember, O Jehovah, Your tender mercies and Your loving-kindnesses; for they are from eternity.

Return, O Jehovah, return; deliver my soul; save me for Your mercy's sake.


I will be glad and rejoice in Your mercy; for You have looked on my affliction; You have known my soul in troubles;





(not because we do not have authority, but to make ourselves an example to you, to imitate us).




So affectionately longing for you, we were willing to have imparted to you, not only the gospel of God, but also our own souls, because you have become beloved to us.

Nor did we seek glory from men, neither from you nor from others, being able to be so with heaviness, as apostles of Christ.

And you shall make a plate of pure gold, and carve on it, like the engravings of a signet, HOLINESS TO JEHOVAH.

I charge you before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that you guard these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.








And it will be, if you will listen carefully to My commandments which I command you today, to love Jehovah your God and to serve Him with all your heart and with all your soul,

But thanks be to our God that you were the slaves of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine to which you were delivered.



As soon as they hear of Me, they shall obey Me; the sons of strangers shall bow down to Me.


And you shall not go aside from any of the words which I command you today, to the right hand or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.




and said to them, You have done all that which Moses the servant of Jehovah commanded you. And you have listened to my voice, to all that I have commanded you. You have not left your brothers these many days until today, and have kept the observance of the command of Jehovah your God.


O Jehovah, Yours is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty. For all in the heavens and in the earth is Yours. Yours is the kingdom, O Jehovah, and You lift up Yourself to all as Head.

You who are far off, hear what I have done; and you near ones, know My might.



Do you not fear Me? says Jehovah. Will you not tremble at My presence, I who have placed the sand for the boundary of the sea by a never-ending decree, so that it cannot pass it? And though they toss themselves, yet they cannot prevail; though its waves roar, yet they cannot pass over it?



Let the groaning of the prisoner come before You; according to the greatness of Your power, leave a remnant of those who are to die,


to the only wise God, our Savior, be glory and majesty and might and authority, even now and forever. Amen.

Be exalted, O Jehovah, in Your strength; we will sing, and praise Your power.

Therefore you go, and read in the roll which you have written from my mouth, the Words of Jehovah in the ears of the people in Jehovah's house on the fasting day. And also you shall read them in the ears of all Judah who come out of their cities.

And after the reading of the Law and the Prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, Men, brothers, if you have any word of comfort for the people, speak.

when all Israel has come to appear before Jehovah your God in the place which He shall choose, you shall read this Law before all Israel in their hearing. Gather the people, men and women and the little ones, and your stranger who is within your gates, so that they may hear and that they may learn and fear Jehovah your God, and be careful to do all the words of this Law, and that their sons who have not known may hear and learn to fear Jehovah your God, as long as you live in the land where you go over Jordan to possess it.











Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.



And in the third year of his reign he sent to his rulers, to Benhail, and to Obadiah, and to Zechariah, and to Nethaneel, and to Michaiah, to teach in the cities of Judah. And with them he sent Levites, Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tob-adonijah, Levites. And with them he sent Elishama and Jehoram the priests. And they taught in Judah and had the book of the Law of Jehovah with them, and went around throughout all the cities of Judah and taught the people.

And Jeshua, and Bani, and Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodijah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, Pelaiah, and the Levites, caused the people to understand the Law. And the people were in their place. And they read in the Book of the Law of God, clearly. And they gave the sense, and caused them to understand the reading.


And these words which I command you this day shall be in your heart.

Therefore you shall lay up these my words in your hearts and in your souls, and bind them for a sign upon your hand, so that they may be as frontlets between your eyes.





And it shall be with him, and he shall read it all the days of his life, so that he may learn to fear Jehovah his God, to keep all the words of this Law, and these statutes, to do them,

Seek out of the book of Jehovah, and read; not one of these shall fail, none shall lack its mate; for My mouth has commanded, and His Spirit has gathered them.


And for this cause we thank God without ceasing, that when you received the Word of hearing, of God, you welcomed it as the Word of God, not as a word of men, but as it is, truly the Word of God, which also effectually works in you who believe.



They answered and said to him, Are you also from Galilee? Search the scriptures and see that a prophet has not been raised out of Galilee.










Therefore putting aside all filthiness and overflowing of evil, receive in meekness the implanted Word, which is able to save your souls.




Therefore when He had risen from the dead, His disciples remembered that He had said this to them, and they believed the Scripture and the word which Jesus had said.


Now set your heart and your soul to seek Jehovah your God. Arise therefore and build the sanctuary of Jehovah God, to bring the ark of the covenant of Jehovah, and the holy vessels of God, into the house that is to be built to the name of Jehovah.

But if you shall seek Jehovah your God from there, you shall find Him, if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul.






Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap in mercy; break up your fallow ground. For it is time to seek Jehovah, until He comes and rains righteousness on you.


Seek Jehovah and His strength; seek His face evermore.


In the day of my trouble I sought Jehovah; my hand was poured in the night, and ceased not; my soul refused to be comforted.



Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate. It may be that the Lord Jehovah of Hosts will be gracious to the remnant of Joseph.










A voice was heard on the high places weeping, cryings of the sons of Israel; for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten Jehovah their God.



He will observe to men, and say, I have sinned and perverted righteousness; and it was not equally repaid to me,

if iniquity is in your hand, put it far away, and do not let wickedness dwell in your tents;


and shall return to Jehovah your God and shall obey His voice according to all that I command you today, you and your sons, with all your heart, and with all your soul,

And the sons of Israel cried to Jehovah, saying, We have sinned against You, both because we have forsaken our God and also have served the Baals.

If they shall confess their wilfulness and the wilfulness of their fathers, with their sin which they sinned against Me, and that also they have walked contrary to Me,

yet if they shall think within themselves in the land where they are carried captives, and repent, and pray to You in the land of their captors saying, We have sinned and have done perversely, we have done wickedly, and so return to You with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies who led them away captive, and if they pray to You toward their land which You gave to their fathers, to the city which You have chosen, and the house which I have built for Your name,


Wash yourselves, make yourselves clean; put away the evil of your doings from before My eyes; cease to do evil;

O Israel, return to Jehovah your God, for you have fallen by your iniquity. Take with you words, and turn to Jehovah. Say to Him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously, that we may repay with the calves of our lips.


And the people of Nineveh believed God. And they called a fast, and put on sackcloth, from the greatest of them even to the least of them.

if that nation, against whom I have spoken, will turn from their evil, I will repent of the evil that I thought to do to them.




And I will wait on Jehovah, who hides His face from the house of Jacob; and I will look for Him.

To the Chief Musician. Do not destroy. A secret treasure of David, when Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him. Deliver me from my enemies, O my God; defend me from those who rise up against me. Deliver me from the workers of evil and save me from bloody men. For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul; the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Jehovah. read more.
Without my fault they run and prepare themselves; awaken to help me, and look on me. And You, O Jehovah, the God of Hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the nations; do not be merciful to any plotting evil. Selah. They return at evening; they make a noise like a dog, and go around the city. Behold, they bellow out with their mouth; swords are in their lips; for they say, Who hears? But You, O Jehovah, shall laugh at them; You will mock at all the nations. O my Strength, let me look to You, for God is my strong tower.

It is good that one should hope for the salvation of Jehovah, even in silence.


Yea, in the way of Your judgments, O Jehovah, we awaited You; for Your name and for Your memory is the desire of our soul.




My soul waits for Jehovah more than morning-watchers who are watching for the morning.




Lead me in Your truth, and teach me; for You are the God of my salvation; on You I wait all the day long.














Blessed is the man who hears me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.






And the Levite, because he has no part nor inheritance with you, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, who are inside your gates, shall come, and shall eat and be satisfied, so that Jehovah your God may bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

And you shall rejoice before Jehovah your God, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your slave girl, and the Levite inside your gates, and the stranger, and the fatherless, and the widow, those among you, in the place which Jehovah your God has chosen to place His name there.

When you cut down your harvest in your field, and have forgotten a sheaf in the field, you shall not go again to bring it. It shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow; so that Jehovah your God may bless you in all the work of your hand. When you beat your olive tree, you shall not go over the boughs again. It shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow. When you gather the grapes from your vineyard, you shall not glean afterward. It shall be for the stranger, for the fatherless, and for the widow.



If any believing man or believing woman has widows, let them relieve them, and do not let the church be charged, so that it may relieve those who are widows indeed.



Do not let a widow be enrolled having become less than sixty years old, the wife of one man,
