Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael.

Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi.

Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi.

These are the names of the men whom Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Hoshea the son of Nun Joshua.

So they went up, and searched the land from the wilderness of Zin unto Rehob, near the entrance of Hamath.

And they ascended through the South, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were. (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)

And your border shall turn from the south to the ascent of Akrabbim, and pass on to Zin: and the going forth thereof shall be from the south to Kadeshbarnea, and shall go on to Hazaraddar, and pass on to Azmon:

The two tribes and the half tribe have received their inheritance on this side of Jordan near Jericho eastward, toward the sun rising.

These are the names of the men who shall divide the land unto you: Eleazar the priest, and Joshua the son of Nun.

And the names of the men are these: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.

And of the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.

Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.
