Paul, and Sylvanus, and Timothy, to the assembly of Thessalonians in God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ: grace to you, and peace.

remembering, without ceasing, your work of faith, and labor of love, and patience of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ, before our God and Father;

nor seeking glory of men, neither from you, nor from others; though able to be in authority, as apostles of Christ.

For ye, brethren, became imitators of the assemblies of God, that are in Judaea in Christ Jesus; because ye suffered the same things from your own countrymen, as they also did from the Jews;

and sent Timothy, our brother and minister of God in the Gospel of Christ, to establish you, and to exhort you concerning your faith;

because the Lord Himself will descend from Heaven, with a shout, with a voice of an archangel, and with a trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ shall rise first;

because God did not appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

In everything give thanks; for this is God's will in Christ Jesus respecting you.

And the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly; and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved entire, without blame at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
