'O Lord Jehovah, thou hast begun to show thy servant thy greatness and thy mighty hand, for there is no God in heaven nor in earth that can do after thy works and after thy power:
Forsake me not, O God, in mine old age, when I am grey-headed, until I have showed thy strength unto children's children, and thy power to all them that are yet for to come.
One generation shall praise thy works unto another, and declare thy power.
'O LORD God: It is thou that hast made heaven and earth with thy great power and high arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee. Thou showest mercy upon thousands, thou recompensest the wickedness of the fathers, into the bosom of the children that come after them. Thou art the great and mighty God, whose name is the LORD of Hosts: great in counsel, and infinite in thought. Thine eyes look upon all the ways of men's children, to reward every one after his way, and according to the fruits of his inventions.
He showeth strength with his arm, he scattereth them that are proud in the imagination of their hearts.
