For I long to see you, that I may impart to you some spiritual gift, to the end that ye may be established;

And I do not wish you to be ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come to you (and was hindered hitherto), that I might have some fruit in you also, even as in the rest of the gentiles.

For what, if some did disbelieve? Shall their disbelief make void the faithfulness of God?

And why not (as we are slanderously reported, and as some affirm that we say), "Let us do evil that good may come?" whose condemnation is just.

For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; for, peradventure, in behalf of a good man, some one even dares to die.

if by any means I may excite to rivalry my flesh, and save some of them.

And, if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them, and became a joint-partaker of the root and of the fatness of the Olive tree;
