If thou shalt put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ which hast been nourished up in the words of the faith, and good doctrine, which doctrine thou hast continually followed.

I testify before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without hasty judgment, and do nothing partially.

Make it a rule not to ordain anyone in haste, and not to be responsible for the sins of others; keep yourself pure.

Fight the good fight of faith. Lay hand on eternal life, whereunto thou art called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.
