I feel torn between the two, because I have a desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far,

Even if my life-blood has to be poured as a libation on the sacred sacrifice of faith you are offering to God, I rejoice, I congratulate you all ??18 and you in turn must rejoice and congratulate me.

But, if the Lord permits it, I hope before long to send Timothy to you, that I, in turn, may be cheered by getting news of you.

Therefore, I hope [that it is His will] to send him immediately, just as soon as I see how my case turns out;
