[After] they listened to the king, they went out, and behold, the star which they had seen at its rising led them until it came [and] stood above [the place] where the child was.

Now [after] they had gone away, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared in a dream to Joseph, saying, "Get up, take the child and his mother and flee to Egypt, and stay there until I tell you. For Herod is about to seek the child to destroy him."

And whenever you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, because they love to stand [and] pray in the synagogues and on the corners of the streets, in order that they may be seen by people. Truly I say to you, they have received their reward in full!

"Whenever you fast, do not be sullen like the hypocrites, for they make their faces unrecognizable in order that they may be seen fasting by people. Truly I say to you, they have received their reward in full!

so that you will not be seen by people as fasting, but to your Father who is in secret, and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.

And why do you see the speck [that is] in your brother's eye, but do not notice the beam of wood in your [own] eye?

Hypocrite! First remove the beam of wood from your [own] eye and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye!

And Jesus said to him, "See that you tell no one, but go, show yourself to the priest and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them."

And their eyes were opened, and Jesus sternly warned them, saying, "See [that] no one finds out."

And Jesus answered [and] said to them, "Go [and] tell John what you hear and see:

Now [as] these were going away, Jesus began to speak to the crowds concerning John: "What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?

But what did you go out to see? A man dressed in soft clothing? Behold, those who wear soft clothing are in the houses of kings.

But why did you go out? To see a prophet? Yes, I tell you, and even more than a prophet!

and while he was sowing, {some seed} fell on the side of the path, and the birds came [and] devoured it.

And other [seed] fell on the rocky ground, where it did not have much soil, and it sprang up at once because it did not have [any] depth of soil.

And other [seed] fell among the thorn plants, and the thorn plants came up and choked it.

But other [seed] fell on the good soil and produced grain, this one a hundred [times as much] and this one sixty and this one thirty.

For this [reason] I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand,

For the heart of this people has become dull, and with their ears they hear with difficulty, and they have shut their eyes, so that they would not see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and turn, and I would heal them."

For truly I say to you that many prophets and righteous [people] longed to see what you see, and did not see [it], and to hear what you hear, and did not hear [it]!

He put before them another parable, saying, "The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a man who sowed good seed in his field.

So the slaves of the master of the house came [and] said to him, 'Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have darnel?'

He put before them another parable, saying, "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that a man took [and] sowed in his field.

Truly I say to you, that there are some of those standing here who will never experience death until they see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom."

And they do all their deeds in order to be seen by people, for they make their phylacteries broad and make their tassels long.

For I tell you, you will never see me from now [on] until you say, 'Blessed [is] the one who comes in the name of the Lord!'"

But he answered [and] said to them, "Do you not see all these [things]? Truly I say to you, not [one] stone will be left here on [another] stone that will not be thrown down!"

And the one who had received the five talents came up [and] brought five more talents, saying, 'Master, you handed over to me five talents. See, I have gained five more talents!'

And the one [who had] the two talents also came up [and] said, 'Master, you handed over to me two talents. See, I have gained two talents more!'

And the one who had received the one talent came up also [and] said, 'Master, [because I] knew you, that you are a hard man, reaping where you did not sow and gathering from where you did not scatter [seed].

And [because I] was afraid, I went away [and] hid your talent in the ground. See, you have [what is] yours!'

But his master answered [and] said to him, 'Evil and lazy slave! You knew that I reap where I did not sow and gather from where I did not scatter [seed].

Then the righteous will answer him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed [you], or thirsty and give [you something] to drink?

And when did we see you sick or in prison and come to you?'

Then they will also answer, saying, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison and not serve you?'

But Peter was following him from a distance, as far as the courtyard of the high priest. And he went inside [and] was sitting with the officers to see the outcome.

Jesus said to him, "You have said [it]. But I tell you, from now [on] you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power and coming on the clouds of heaven."

saying, "I have sinned [by] betraying innocent blood!" But they said, "What [is that] to us? You see to [it]!"

So Pilate, [when he] saw that he was accomplishing nothing, but instead an uproar was developing, took water [and] washed his hands before the crowd, saying, "I am innocent of the blood of this man. You see to [it]!"

But the others said, "Leave [him] alone! let us see if Elijah is coming to save him."

He is not here, for he has been raised, just as he said. Come, see the place where he was lying.

And go quickly, tell his disciples, 'He has been raised from the dead, and behold, he is going ahead of you into Galilee. You will see him there.' Behold, I have told you."

Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid! Go tell my brothers that they should go to Galilee, and there they will see me."

And he said to him, "See to it that you say nothing to anyone, but go, show yourself to the priest and bring for your cleansing [the things] which Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

And he got up and immediately picked up his stretcher [and] went out in front of [them] all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, "We have never seen [anything] like this!"

And they were watching him closely [to see] if he would heal him on the Sabbath, in order that they could accuse him.

And it happened that while [he] was sowing, {some seed} fell on the side of the path, and the birds came and devoured it.

And other [seed] fell on the rocky ground where it did not have much soil, and it sprang up at once, because it did not have [any] depth of soil.

And other [seed] fell among the thorn plants, and the thorn plants came up and choked it, and it did not produce grain.

And other [seed] fell on the good soil, and produced grain, coming up and increasing, and it bore [a crop]--one thirty and one sixty and one a hundred [times as much].

And he said, "The kingdom of God is like this: like a man scatters seed on the ground.

[It is] like a mustard seed that when sown on the ground, [although it] is the smallest of all the seeds that [are] on the ground,

And their herdsmen fled and reported [it] in the town and in the countryside, and they came to see what it was that had happened.

And those who had seen [it] described to them what had happened to the demon-possessed man, and about the pigs.

And his disciples said to him, "You see the crowd pressing upon you, and you say 'Who touched me?'"

And he was looking around to see the one who had done this.

[Although you] have eyes, do you not see? And [although you] have ears, do you not hear? And do you not remember?

And he took hold of the blind man's hand [and] led him outside the village, and [after] spitting in his eyes, he placed his hands on him [and] asked him, "Do you see anything?"

And looking up he said, "I see people, for I see [them] like trees walking around."

Then he placed his hands on his eyes again, and he opened his eyes and was cured, and could see everything clearly.

And he said to them, "Truly I say to you, that there are some of those standing here who will never experience death until they see the kingdom of God having come with power."

And [as] they were coming down from the mountain, he ordered them that they should tell no one [the things] that they had seen, except when the Son of Man had risen from the dead.

And [when he] saw from a distance a fig tree that had leaves, he went [to see] if perhaps he would find anything on it. And [when he] came up to it he found nothing except leaves, because it was not the season for figs.

And Jesus said to him, "Do you see these great buildings? Not [one] stone will be left here on [another] stone that will not be thrown down!"

"But when you see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not be" (let the one who reads understand), "then those in Judea must flee to the mountains!

So also you, when you see these [things] happening, know that he is near, at the door.

And Jesus said, "I am, and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power and coming with the clouds of heaven."

So Pilate asked him again, saying, "Do you not answer anything? See how many [charges] they are bringing against you!"

And they crucified him and divided his clothes among themselves [by] casting lots for them [to see] who should take what.

Let the Christ, the king of Israel, come down now from the cross, so that we may see and believe! Even those who were crucified with him were reviling him.

And someone ran and filled a sponge with sour wine, put [it] on a reed, [and] gave [it] to him to drink, saying, "Leave [him] alone! Let us see if Elijah is coming to take him down."

But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene who was crucified. He has been raised, he is not here! See the place where they laid him!

But go, tell his disciples and Peter that he is going ahead of you to Galilee. You will see him there, just as he told you."

And those, [when they] heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, refused to believe [it].
