Who watereth the mountains out of his upper chambers, Out of the fruit of thy works, thou satisfiest the earth.

Who causeth the grass to shoot forth for the cattle, And the herb, for the service of man, That he may bring forth food out of the earth;

There go the ships over, and there is that Leviathan, whom thou hast made, to take his pastime therein.

Who is looking to earth, and it trembleth, He cometh against hills, and they smoke.

Boast about his holy name! Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!

Saying, Put not your hand on those who have been marked with my holy oil, and do my prophets no wrong.

He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant:

He sent a king who released him, a ruler of people who set him free.

And his people were greatly increased, and became stronger than those who were against them.

Then sent he Moses his servant, and Aaron whom he had chosen.

Then He brought them out with silver and gold,
And among His tribes there was not one who stumbled.

Who can express the noble acts of the LORD, or show forth all his praise?

How blessed are those who promote justice, and do what is right all the time!

so I may see the prosperity of your chosen ones, rejoice along with your nation, and boast along with the people who belong to you.

And He saveth them from the hand Of him who is hating, And redeemeth them from the hand of the enemy.

Thus they exchanged [the true God who was] their glory
For the image of an ox that eats grass.

They forgot God their Savior, who performed great things in Egypt

He would have destroyed them but for Moses, his chosen one, who stood in the breach before him to avert his destructive wrath.

They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them:

and shed the innocent blood of their sons and of their daughters; whom they offered unto the idols of Canaan, so that the land was defiled with blood.

So the Lord was angry with his people and despised the people who belong to him.

He turned them over to domination by nations where those who hated them ruled over them.

He also made them objects of compassion
Among those who had carried them away captive.

Let them give thanks whom the LORD hath redeemed, and delivered from the hand of the enemy,

those whom he gathered from other lands from the east, west, north, and south.

He has satisfied the one who thirsts, filling the hungry with what is good.

There were those who dwelt in darkness and in the shadow of death,
Prisoners in misery and chains,

Those who go down to the sea in ships, who work in the great waters,

For he commands, and raises the stormy wind, who lifts up the waves thereof.

They are turned here and there, rolling like a man who is full of wine; and all their wisdom comes to nothing.

A productive land into a [barren] salt waste,
Because of the wickedness of those who dwell in it.

Who is wise, and observeth these? They understand the kind acts of Jehovah!

Who will lead me into the strong city? Who will bring me into Edom?

Wilt not thou, O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?

With God we will do valiantly,
For it is He who will trample down our enemies.

God, whom I praise, do not be silent,

Set in charge over him, one who is lawless, and let, an accuser, stand at his right hand;

Let there be none [who] extend to him loyal love, nor any who pities his orphans.

May this be the way the LORD repays my accuser, those who speak evil against me.

For He will stand at the right hand of the needy,
To save him from those who judge his soul.

The Lord said to my lord, Be seated at my right hand, till I put all those who are against you under your feet.

Your people will offer themselves willingly [to participate in Your battle] in the day of Your power;
In the splendor of holiness, from the womb of the dawn,
Your young men are to You as the dew.

Great are the acts of the LORD; they are within reach of all who desire them.

He prepares food for those who fear him; he is ever mindful of his covenant.

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; sound understanding belongs to those who practice it. Praise of God endures forever.

Hallelujah! How happy is the person who fears the LORD, who truly delights in his commandments.

His descendants will be powerful in the land, a generation of the upright who will be blessed.

A light shines in the darkness for the upright, for the one who is gracious, compassionate, and just.

It is good for the person who lends generously, conducting his affairs with fairness.

He will never be shaken; the one who is just will always be remembered.

Who is like unto the LORD our God, that hath his dwelling so high;

Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth!

When Israel came out of Egypt—
the house of Jacob from a people
who spoke a foreign language—

who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flinty rock into flowing springs.

Nor do they mutter through their throat, Like them are their makers, Every one who is trusting in them.

You who fear the LORD, trust in the LORD! He is their helper and shield.

He will bless those who fear the LORD, both the important and the insignificant together.

May you be blessed by the LORD, who made the heavens and the earth.

Neither can the dead praise the LORD, nor those who go down into the silence of death.

O Lord, truly I am your servant; I am your servant, the son of her who is your servant; by you have my cords been broken.

Let those who fear the LORD now say, "His gracious love is eternal."

With the LORD beside me as my helper, I will triumph over those who hate me.

Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD! Let us bless you from the LORD's house.

The Lord is God, and He has given us light [illuminating us with His grace and freedom and joy].
Bind the festival sacrifices with cords to the horns of the altar.

ALEPH. Blessed are the undefiled in the way, who walk in the law of the LORD.

How blessed are those who observe his decrees, who seek him with all of their heart,

who practice no evil while they walk in his ways.

You rebuke the accursed ones, who wander from your commands.

Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear.

Then I can answer the one who insults me, for I place my trust in your word.

I burn with indignation because of the wicked who forsake your instruction.

A companion I am to all who fear Thee, And to those keeping Thy precepts.

May those who fear you see me and be glad, for I have hoped in your word.

May those who fear you turn to me, along with those who know your decrees.

How many days must your servant endure this? When will you judge those who persecute me?

The arrogant (godless) have dug pits for me,
Men who do not conform to Your law.

But I love Your law.

Leave me, you who practice evil, that I may observe the commands of my God.

You reject all who wander from your statutes, since their deceitfulness is vain.

I have done justice and righteousness;
Do not leave me to those who oppress me.

Turn in my direction and show mercy to me, as you have decreed regarding those who love your name.

Those who pursue wickedness draw near; they remain far from your instruction.

The enemies who chase me are numerous. Yet I do not turn aside from your rules.

I saw with hate those who were untrue to you; for they did not keep your saying.

I find joy at what you have said like one who has discovered a great treasure.

Great peace belongs to those who love your instruction, and nothing makes them stumble.

I said, "O Lord, rescue me from those who lie with their lips and those who deceive with their tongue.

Too much hath my soul dwelt with him who is hating peace.

My help comes from the Lord,
Who made heaven and earth.

He will not allow your foot to slip;
He who keeps you will not slumber.

Lo, He slumbereth not, nor sleepeth, He who is preserving Israel.

Those who are trusting in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be overthrown. They remain forever.
