who also said: Men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, shall come in the same manner in which you saw him go into heaven.

that he may be appointed to this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

And when there arose a great dissension, the officer, fearing that Paul would be torn to pieces by them, commanded the soldiers to go down, and to take him by force from among them, and to bring him into the fortress.

And, on the morrow, they left the horsemen to go with him, and returned to the for tress.

Therefore, said he, let those among you who are men of influence, go down with me, and accuse this man, if there is any wickedness in him.

But Festus, willing to confer a favor on the Jews, answered Paul, and said: Are you willing to go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged before me concerning these things?

Then Festus, after conferring with the council, answered: To Caesar have you appealed? To Caesar you shall go.

But, being in doubt about the question concerning this man, I asked him if he would go up to Jerusalem, and there be judged with respect to these matters.

On the next day, we touched at Sidon; and Julius treated Paul with kindness, and permitted him to go to his friends, and receive their attentions.

For many days we sailed slowly; and having with difficulty come off Cnidus, the wind not permitting us to go further, we sailed under the lee of Crete, off Salmone:

saying: Go to this people and say, You shall surely hear, but you will not understand; and you shall surely see, but you will not perceive.
