While he was still speaking, someone came from the ruler of the synagogue's house and said, "Your daughter is dead; do not trouble the Teacher any more."

When the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. But they kept quiet, and told no one in those days any of the things they had seen.

"If any one comes to me and does not hate his own father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters, yes, and even his own life, he cannot be my disciple.

"Will any one of you, who has a servant plowing or keeping sheep, say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come at once and sit down to eat'?

And Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, "Look, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have defrauded any one of anything, I restore it fourfold."

If any one asks you, 'Why are you untying it?' you shall say to him, 'The Lord has need of it.'"

nor can they die any more, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

For they no longer dared to ask him any question.
