And it happened as He spoke these things, a certain woman of the company lifted up her voice and said to Him, Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which You have sucked.

And one of the lawyers answered and said to Him, Master, you reproach us also when you say this.

And He said, Woe to you also, lawyers! For you load men with burdens grievous to be carried, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.

And He also said to him who invited Him, When you make a dinner or a supper, do not call your friends or your brothers, or your kinsmen, or your rich neighbors; lest they also invite you again, and a recompense be made to you.

And one of those who reclined with Him heard these things, and he said to Him, Blessed are those eating bread in the kingdom of God.

And all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said to him, I have bought a piece of ground, I must go and see it. I beg you, have me excused.

And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to test them. I beg you, have me excused.

And coming up that servant reported these things to his lord. And the master of the house, being angry, said to his servant, Go out quickly into the streets and lanes of the city and bring in here the poor and the maimed, and the lame and the blind.

And the servant said, Lord, it is done as you have commanded, and still there is room.

And the lord said to the servant, Go out into the highways and hedges and compel them to come in, so that my house may be filled.

And he said, A hundred baths of oil. And he said to him, Take your bill and sit down quickly and write fifty.

And he said to another, And how much do you owe? And he said, A hundred cors of wheat. And he said to him, Take your bill and write eighty.

And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me and send Lazarus so that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame.

But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received your good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things. But now he is comforted and you are tormented.

And he said, I beg you therefore, father, that you would send him to my father's house,

Abraham said to him, They have Moses and the Prophets, let them hear them.

And he said, No, father Abraham, but if one should go to them from the dead, they would repent.

And he said to him, If they do not hear Moses and the Prophets, they will not be persuaded, even though one rose from the dead.

And the Lord said, If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say to this sycamine tree, Be rooted up and be planted in the sea! And it would obey you.

And they lifted voice and said, Jesus, Master, pity us!

And seeing them, He said to them, Go show yourselves to the priests. And it happened, as they went, that they were cleansed.

And answering, Jesus said, Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

And being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered and said, The kingdom of God does not come with observation.

And He said to the disciples, The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you shall not see it.

And they answered and said to Him, Where, Lord? And He said to them, Wherever the body is, there the eagles will be gathered together.

And he would not do so for a time. But afterward he said within himself, Though I do not fear God nor regard man,

And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge says.

And when Jesus saw that he was very sorrowful, He said, How hardly those having riches shall enter into the kingdom of God!

And He took the Twelve and said to them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem and all things that are written by the prophets concerning the Son of Man will be accomplished.

saying, What do you desire that I should do to you? And he said, Lord, that I may receive my sight.

And Jesus said to him, Receive your sight! Your faith has saved you.

And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him. And He said to him, Zaccheus! Hurry and come down, for today I must stay at your house.
