Ye are the light of the world. A city set upon a mountain cannot be hid. Neither do men light a lamp and put it under a bushel, but on the lampstand, and it gives light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in the heavens.

Let the elders that govern well be counted worthy of double honour, especially those who labour in the word and doctrine.

Remember your pastors, who have spoken unto you the word of God, whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation:

and not as having lordship over the heritage of the Lord, but in such a manner as to be examples of the flock.

ye also helping us with prayer, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons, thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience in all things desiring to conduct ourselves well.

and for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth with confidence, to make known the mystery of the gospel,

But I beseech you, brethren, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the charity of the Spirit, that ye help me with prayers to God for me,

loving you so much, that we were willing to give unto you, not only the gospel of God, but even our own souls, because ye are dear unto us.

Even as it is right for me to think this of you all because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are joint partakers of my grace.
