For those people themselves report on what kind of a reception we had from you, and how you people turned to God from idols, to serve a living and true God.

And [they tell how you are] waiting for His Son [to come] from heaven, the One He raised up from the dead --- this Jesus, who rescues us from the coming wrath [of God].

For you brothers remember how we labored and toiled, working hard night and day, so that we would not burden any of you [while] we proclaimed to you the Gospel of God.

You can testify, [just] as God can, how holy, righteous and blameless our conduct was toward you believers.

For how can we thank God [enough] for you, in return for all the joy we have over you, in the presence of our God?
