And the ones on the rock are those who, when they hear the word, receive it with joy; but these have no root, they believe for a while and in time of temptation fall away.

And the ones that fell among the thorns, they are those who hear, but as they go on their way they are choked by the cares and riches and pleasures of life, and their fruit does not mature.

But the ones that fell on the good soil are those who, having heard the word with a noble and good heart, keep it and bear fruit with patience.

As they sailed he fell asleep. And a windstorm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in danger.

But the Lord said to him, "Now you Pharisees clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside you are full of greed and wickedness.

But God said to him, 'Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have prepared?'

Sell your possessions, and give alms; provide yourselves purses that do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches and no moth destroys.

Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them, do you think that they were worse sinners than all the others who dwelt in Jerusalem?

And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion for him, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away, than for one dot of the law to fail.

He said to them, "Behold, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you; follow him into the house which he enters.

But I have prayed for you, that your faith may not fail; and when you have turned again, strengthen your brethren."

Then after about an hour had passed, another insisted, saying, "Certainly this fellow also was with him, for he is a Galilean."

Then they will begin to say to the mountains, 'Fall on us!' and to the hills, 'Cover us!'
