above all the angelic Rulers, Authorities, Powers, and Lords, above every Name that is to be named not only in this age but in the age to come ??22 he has put everything under his feet and set him as head over everything for the church,

And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church,

in his own flesh he put an end to the feud of the Law with its code of commands, so as to make peace by the creation of a new Man in himself out of both parties,

And [that He] might reconcile them both [Jew and Gentile, united] in one body to God through the cross, thereby putting to death the hostility.

To fit his People for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the Body of the Christ.

Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your fit of anger:

also filthiness, and foolish talking, or jesting, -- the things not fit -- but rather thanksgiving;

For no man ever had hate for his flesh; but he gives it food and takes care of it, even as Christ does for the church;

For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against authorities and powers, against the world-rulers of this dark night, against the spirits of evil in the heavens.

And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
