When the morning was come, all the chief priests and elders of the people took counsel against Jesus, to put him to death.
And they were filled with madness, and talked one with another, what they should do to Jesus.
And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people, sought to destroy him,
And he went and talked with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him to them.

And watching him, they sent forth spies, feigning themselves to be just men, to take hold of his discourse, that they might deliver him to the power and authority of the governour.
What therefore sayest t`ou? This they spoke tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooping down, wrote with his finger on the ground.
And as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said to him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples. And he said to them, Which of you shall have a friend, and shall go to him at midnight and say to him, Friend, lend me three loaves: For a friend of mine on his journey is come to me, and I have nothing to set before him: And he from within shall answer, Trouble me not: the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed: I cannot rise and give thee? I tell you, though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet, because of his importunity, he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. And I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you. For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
Now at the middle of the feast, Jesus went up into the temple and taught.

And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease, and all manner of malady among the people.

Father, I will that these also whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
In the beginning existed the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his beloved Son,
whom I have chosen, my beloved, in whom my soul delighteth: I will put my Spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the heathens.
While he yet spake, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold a voice out of the cloud which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I delight: hear ye him.
And a voice came from heaven, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I delight.
To the praise of the glory of his grace,
So also Christ glorified not himself to be made an high priest, but he that said to him, Thou art my son, this day have I begotten thee.
And I saw the heaven opened, and behold a white horse, and he that sitteth on him, called Faithful and True: and in righteousness he judgeth and maketh war.
And again, When he bringeth in the first begotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.
Then they that were in the vessel, came and worshiped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.
And behold Jesus met them and said, Hail. And they came, and took hold of his feet and worshiped him.
And being come into the house, they saw the young child, with Mary his mother; and falling down, they worshiped him. And opening their treasures, they presented to him gifts, gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
And they worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,
And when he took the book, the four living creatures and the four and twenty elders fell down before the Lamb, having every one an harp, and golden phials full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
Whosoever denieth the Son, he hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son, hath the Father also.
Fear not therefore: ye are of more value than many sparrows. And I say to you, Whosoever shall confess me before men, him shall the Son of man also confess before the angels of God.
That if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thy heart, that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
him will I also confess before my Father who is in heaven.
And every tongue might confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord in the glory of God the Father.
Whosoever shall confess, that Jesus is the Son of God, God abideth in him, and he in God.
And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, which speaketh better things than that of Abel. See that ye refuse not him that speaketh:
For there is one God, one mediator also between God and men,
And now he hath obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much better a covenant he is a mediator of, which is established upon better promises.
And for this end he is the Mediator of a new covenant, that by means of death for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, they who are called might receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.
For Christ did not enter into the holy place made with hands, the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us.
My beloved children, I write these things to you, that ye may not sin. But if any one sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ, the righteous, And he is the propitiation for our sins;
who is the beginning, the first-begotten from the dead, that in all things he might have the pre-eminence.
And he hath put all things under his feet, and hath given him to be head over all things to the church,
But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, who is the head, even Christ:
For the husband is head of the wife, as Christ also is head of the church:
And not holding the head, from which all the body being nourished and knit together, by the joints and ligaments, increaseth with the increase of God.
Know ye not, that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ, and make them the members of an harlot?
For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
Thus ye also, my brethren, are dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye might be married to another, even to him who was raised from the dead, that we may bring forth fruit to God.
For I am jealous over you with a godly jealousy; for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.
Therefore let that abide in you which ye heard from the beginning: if that which ye heard from the beginning abide in you, ye also shall abide in the Son and in the Father.
Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right-hand of the power of God. And they all said, Art thou then the Son of God?
I and the Father are one.
If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not. But if I do, tho' ye believe not me, believe the works; that ye may know and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
And he that seeth me, seeth him that sent me.
If ye had known me, ye would have known my Father also: from henceforth ye have known him, and have seen him. Philip saith to him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us. Jesus saith to him, Have I been so long with you, and hast thou not known me, Philip? He that hath seen me, hath seen the Father: and how sayest thou, Shew us the Father?

Believest thou not, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself; and the Father that dwelleth in me, he doth the works.
All things that the Father hath, are mine: therefore I said, He will take of mine, and shew it you.
For in him dwelleth the fulness of the Godhead bodily.
And out of his fulness have we all received, even grace upon grace. For the law was given by Moses,
And he hath put all things under his feet, and hath given him to be head over all things to the church, Which is his body; who is the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
Till we all come to the unity of the faith and knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:
For it pleased the Father, that all fulness should dwell in him:
And the apostles gave forth their testimony of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus with great power, and great grace was upon them all.
And we are witnesses of all things which he did, both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem; whom yet they slew and hanged on a tree. Him God raised up the third day, and shewed him openly; (Not to all the people, but to witnesses, chosen before of God, even to us, who did eat and drink with him) after he rose from the dead.
who was of the seed of David, according to the flesh, But declared the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead,
Him being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands, have crucified and slain: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death, as it was not possible that he should be held under it.
But ye renounced the holy one and the just, and desired a murderer to be granted you. But ye killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead, whereof we are witnesses.
And Paul, according to his custom, went in to them, and three sabbath-days discoursed with them from the scriptures, Opening them and evincing, That Christ ought to suffer, and to rise from the dead, and that this is the Christ, even Jesus, whom I declare unto you.
After that, he poured water into the bason, and began to wash the feet of the disciples, and to wipe them with the towel, wherewith he was girded.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest to your souls.
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross.
For through him were created all things, that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible; whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers; all things were created by him and for him.
the Father from whom are all things, and we for him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.
All things were made by him, and without him was not one single thing made that was made.
And to let all men see, what is the fellowship of the mystery, which was hidden from the beginning of the world by God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:
God who at sundry times and in divers manners spake of old to the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken to us by his Son; Whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom he also made the worlds:
And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say to him, The Master saith, My time is at hand: I will keep the passover at thy house with my disciples.
Then cometh he to his disciples and saith to them, Sleep on now and take your rest: Behold the hour is come, and the Son of man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.
Then they sought to seize him; but no man laid hands on him, because his hour was not yet come.
And Jesus answered them, saying, The hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified.
Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus knowing his hour was come to pass out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them to the end.
These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes and said, Father, the hour is come: glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh,
But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils by Beelzebub, the prince of the devils.
But the Pharisees hearing it said, This fellow casteth not out devils but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
But some of them said, He casteth out devils by Beelzebub the prince of the devils:
And many other things blasphemously spake they against him.
Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.
Do not the rich oppress you and drag you to the judgment-seats? Do not they blaspheme that worthy name, by which ye are called?
But to them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.
And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon him.
he taught them in their synagogue, so that they were astonished and said, Whence hath HE this wisdom and these mighty works?
both the Father and Christ, In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
On the last, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come to me and drink.
And about the ninth hour, Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama-sabachthani? That is, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
And other fell on good ground, and sprang up, and bare fruit an hundred fold. And saying these things, he cried, He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.
Then cried Jesus in the temple as he taught, saying, Do ye both know me, and know whence I am? And yet I am not come of myself, but he that sent me is true, whom ye know not.
Jesus said with a loud voice, He that believeth on me, believeth not on me, but on him that sent me.
Jesus after he had cried again with a loud voice, dismissed his spirit.
While he yet spake, behold a bright cloud overshadowed them, and behold a voice out of the cloud which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I delight: hear ye him.
And lo a voice out of the heavens, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I delight.
There is another that testifieth of me, and I know that the testimony which he testifieth of me is valid.
And the Father who hath sent me, he hath testified of me: ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his form.
I am one that testify of myself, and the Father that sent me, testifieth of me.
If we receive the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater; and this is the testimony of God, which he hath testified of his Son.
The Son of man is come eating and drinking, and they say, Behold a glutton and a wine-bibber, a friend of publicans and sinners; but wisdom is justified by her children.
But the Pharisees said, He casteth out devils by Beelzebub, the prince of the devils.
And they accused him saying, We found this fellow perverting the nation, and forbidding to give tribute to Cesar, saying, that he himself is Christ a king.
And set up false witnesses who said, This man ceaseth not to speak words against the holy place and the law.
But others mocking, said, They are full of sweet wine.
For we have found this man, a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
But I say to you, That one greater than the temple is here. And if ye had known what that meaneth,
The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation and condemn them; for she came from the utmost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and hath given him a name which is above every name, That at the name of Jesus every knee might bow, of those in heaven, and those on earth, and those under the earth:
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God, through our Lord Jesus Christ:
This is the word which he sent to the children of Israel, preaching the glad tidings of peace through Jesus Christ; He is Lord of all.
For he is our peace, he who hath made both one,
And by him to reconcile all things to himself (having made peace by him, through the blood of the cross) whether things on earth, or things in heaven.
And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride, adorned for her husband.
And Jesus said, Can the children of the bride-chamber mourn, as long as the bride-groom is with them? But the days will come, when the bride-groom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.
Then shall the kingdom of heaven be like ten virgins, who taking their lamps, went forth to meet the bridegroom.
But at midnight there was a cry, Behold the bridegroom cometh: come ye out to meet him.
He that hath the bride is the bridegroom; but the friend of the bridegroom, who standeth and heareth him, rejoiceth greatly, because of the bridegroom's voice: this my joy therefore is fulfilled.
And he said to them, Why sought ye me? Knew ye not, that I must be about my Father's business?
And his disciples remembered that it is written, The zeal of thine house hath eaten me up.
My meat is, to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work.
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day; the night is coming, when no man can work.
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed by the devil; for God was with him.
Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious, and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded.
Jesus saith to them, Have ye never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, is become the head of the corner? This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes.
This is the stone which was set at nought by you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
Built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone, On whom all the building fitly framed together,
And from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first begotten from the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth:
These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings; and they that are with him are called, and chosen, and faithful.
the King of Kings, and Lord of Lords:
And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, King of kings, and Lord of lords.
If the world hate you, ye know it hated me, before it hated you.
And they were filled with madness, and talked one with another, what they should do to Jesus.
But his citizens hated him, and sent an embassy after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us.
because I testify of it, that its works are evil.
So that the word which is written in their law is fulfilled, They hated me without a cause.
But when the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, saying, Crucify, crucify him. Pilate saith to them, Take ye him and crucify him; for I find no fault in him.
And Herod, having with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a splendid robe, sent him back to Pilate.
And therefore the Jews persecuted Jesus, and sought to kill him, because he had done these things on the sabbath.
And rising up, thrust him out of the city, and brought him to the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, to cast him down headlong.
After these things Jesus walked in Galilee: for he would not walk in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
yet ye seek to kill me, because my word hath no place in you.
Therefore they sought again to seize him; but he escaped out of their hand.
And passing by, he saw Levi, the son of Alpheus sitting at the custom-house, and saith to him, Follow me.
casting a net into the sea (for they were fishers) And Jesus said to them, Come ye after me, and I will make you fishers of men.
And he called them; and immediately leaving their father Zebedee in the vessel with the hired servants, they went after him.
And when it was day, he called to him his disciples, and chose twelve of them, whom also he named Apostles:
The day following he was minded to depart into Galilee, and findeth Philip, and saith to him, Follow me.
But he said to me, Depart: for I will send thee far off to the Gentiles.
Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not his mother called Mary? And his brethren, James and Joses and Simon and Judas?
And they that passed by, reviled him, wagging their heads and saying, Ah, thou that destroyest the temple, and buildest it in three days, Save thyself, and come down from the cross.
And the Pharisees, who were covetous, heard these things, and they derided him.
Many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad: why hear ye him?
And Herod, having with his men of war set him at nought, and mocked him, and arrayed him in a splendid robe, sent him back to Pilate.
And the men that held Jesus mocked and smote him. And having blindfolded him,
And platting a crown of thorns, they put it upon his head, and a cane in his right-hand; and kneeling before him, they mocked him, saying, Hail, King of the Jews.
In like manner the chief priests also with the scribes and elders mocking him said, He saved others; Cannot he save himself?
And the soldiers also mocked him, coming to him, and offering him vinegar,
For we are fellow-labourers of God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following.
We then, as fellow-labourers, do also exhort you, not to receive the grace of God in vain.
But Simon answering said to him, Master, Having toiled all the night, we have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word, I will let down the net.
And they came and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish! And he arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and there was a calm.
And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
And just as they were parting from him, Peter said to Jesus, Master, it is good for us to be here: and let us make three tents, ane for thee, and one for Moses, and one for Elijah, not knowing what he said.
And John answering said, Master, we saw one casting out devils in thy name, and we forbad him; because he followeth not with us.
And they lifted up their voice and said, Jesus, master, have mercy on us.
He answering said to them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man.
So likewise when ye see all these things, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.
But without a parable spake he not to them: and in private he expounded all things to his disciples.
Now the parable is this: the seed is the word of God.
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he explained to them the things in all the scriptures, concerning himself.
And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me?
And immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no room for them, no, not even about the door.
For he had healed many, so that they rushed in upon him, as many as had plagues.
come and lay thy hands on her that she may be healed, and she shall live. And he went with him, and much people followed him and thronged him.
And as the multitude pressed on him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesareth,
Then came toward him his mother and his brethren, but could not come to him for the croud.
I Jesus have sent my angel to testify to you, to the churches, these things. I am the root and the off-spring of David, the bright, the morning-star. And the spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.
And we have the word of prophecy more confirmed, to which ye do well that ye take heed, as to a lamp that shone in a dark place, till the day should dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts:
And I will give him the morning star.
Abide ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.
But that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father commanded me, so I do. Arise, let us go hence.
For as by the disobedience of one man, many were constituted sinners, so by the obedience of one, many shall be constituted righteous.
yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered, And being perfected,
Then said he, Lo, I come, to do thy will. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second:
I Jesus have sent my angel to testify to you, to the churches, these things. I am the root and the off-spring of David, the bright, the morning-star. And the spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.
And we have the word of prophecy more confirmed, to which ye do well that ye take heed, as to a lamp that shone in a dark place, till the day should dawn, and the day-star arise in your hearts:
And I will give him the morning star.
And he said to me, It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to him that thirsteth of the fountain of the water of life freely.
And he that overcometh and keepeth my works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations.
And I will give him the morning star.
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have beheld, and our hands have handled of the word of life:
In the beginning existed the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
And the Word was made flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.
For there are three that testify on earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood, and these three agree in one.
And he is clothed in a vesture dipt in blood, and his name is called, The Word of God.
For it became him for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to perfect the captain of their salvation through sufferings.
And the Word was made flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.
Pilate went out again, and saith to them, Lo, I bring him forth to you, that ye may know, I find no fault in him.
became the author of eternal salvation to all that obey him,
For the law maketh men high priests that have infirmity; but the word of the oath which was since the law, maketh the son, who is consecrated for evermore.
Then was Jesus led up by the Spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted by the devil.
For in that he hath suffered, being tempted himself, he is able to succour them that are tempted.
Being forty days tempted by the devil. And in those days he ate nothing, and when they were ended he hungered.
Ye are they who have continued with in me in my temptations.
let us hold fast our profession, For we have not an high-priest who cannot sympathize with our infirmities, but who was in all points tempted like as we are: yet without sin.
And he taught in their synagogues, being glorified of all.
And many spread their garments in the way: and others cut down branches from the trees, and strewed them in the way.
And they brought him to Jesus, and they cast their garments on the colt and set Jesus thereon.
that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, Took branches of palm-trees, and went out to meet him, and cried, Hosanna: blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord, the king of Israel.
and the strength, and the honour, and the glory, and the blessing. And every creature which is in the heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and on the sea, and all that are in them, I heard them all saying, To him that sitteth on the throne, and to the Lamb, is the blessing, and the honour, and the glory, and the power, for ever and ever.
For there is one God, one mediator also between God and men,
The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham.
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross.
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son,
And I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep thro' thy name them whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
But if I do, tho' ye believe not me, believe the works; that ye may know and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
Believest thou not, that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself; and the Father that dwelleth in me, he doth the works.
I and the Father are one.
And the glory which thou hast given me, I have given them, that they may be one, as we are one:
For there is one God, one mediator also between God and men,
The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Son of Abraham.
And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross.
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son,
And behold they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus, thou Son of God?
what have we to do with thee, Jesus of Nazareth? Art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy one of God.
And unclean spirits when they saw him fell down before him and cried, saying, Thou art the Son of God.
And devils also came out of many, crying out and saying, Thou art Christ, the Son of God. And he rebuking them, suffered them not to say, that they knew he was the Christ.
But the evil spirit answering said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?
This also is of God. For to you it is given, with regard to Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for him:
We who live are always delivered unto death for the sake of Jesus, that the life also of Jesus may be manifested in our mortal body.
Therefore I am well pleased in weaknesses, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake; for when I am weak, then I am strong.
And I saw and behold a white cloud, and on the cloud sat one like a son of man, having a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand.
like a son of man, cloathed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about at the breast with a golden girdle. His head and hair were white as white wool, as snow, and his eyes as a flame of fire, And his feet like fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace, and his voice as the voice of many waters.

And he had in his right hand seven stars, and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword; and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
And I saw the heaven opened, and behold a white horse, and he that sitteth on him, called Faithful and True: and in righteousness he judgeth and maketh war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and upon his head are many diadems, and he hath a name written, which none knoweth but himself.
But as many as received him, to them gave he privilege to become the sons of God, to them that believe in his name:
receiveth me: and whosoever shall receive me, receiveth not only me, but him that sent me.
and he that entertaineth me, entertaineth him that sent me.
And when Jesus returned, the people gladly received him; for they were all waiting for him.
And he made haste and came down, and received him joyfully.
After this, Jesus knowing, that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.
Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus knowing his hour was come to pass out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them to the end.
But there are some of you who believe not. (For Jesus had known from the beginning, who they were that believed not, and who would betray him.)
For he knew who would betray him: therefore he said, Ye are not all clean.
Then Jesus knowing all things that were coming upon him, went forth and said to them, Whom seek ye?
After this, Jesus knowing, that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst.

For he knew who would betray him: therefore he said, Ye are not all clean.
Then Jesus knowing all things that were coming upon him, went forth and said to them, Whom seek ye?
Suppose ye that I am come to send peace upon earth? I tell you, Nay, but rather division.
And there was much murmuring among the multitude concerning him: for some said, He is a good man; others said, Nay; but he seduceth the people.
So there was a division among the people concerning him.
Therefore said some of the Pharisees, This man is not of God, because he keepeth not the sabbath. Others said, How can a man that is a sinner, do such miracles?
This commission have I received of my Father. There was again a division among the Jews, because of these sayings.
And I, when I am lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to me.
And when he was come down from the Mountain, great multitudes followed him.
But seeing Jesus afar off, he ran and worshiped him, And crying with a loud voice,
And when Jesus was passed over again by boat to the other side, much people was gathered to him, and he was near the sea.
And the next day, as they came down from the mountain, a great multitude met him.
And the Pharisees coming asked him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife?
What therefore sayest t`ou? This they spoke tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooping down, wrote with his finger on the ground.
And behold, a certain scribe stood up, and trying him, said, Master, what shall I do, to inherit eternal life?
And others tempting him, sought of him a sign from heaven.
But he observing their craftiness, said to them, Why tempt ye me?
(And behold a woman who had had a flux of blood, twelve years, coming behind him, touched the hem of his garment. For she said within herself, if I but touch his garment, I shall be whole. And Jesus turning and seeing her, said, Daughter, take courage; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour.)
For he had healed many, so that they rushed in upon him, as many as had plagues.
And having crossed over, they came into the land of Gennesaret. And when the men of that place had knowledge of him, they sent out into all that country round about, and brought to him all that were diseased; And besought him, that they might touch but the hem of his garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.
And the whole multitude sought to touch him; for virtue went out of him, and healed them all.
Then Jesus knowing all things that were coming upon him, went forth and said to them, Whom seek ye?
but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many.
For which is greater, he that sitteth at table, or he that serveth? Is not he that sitteth at table? But I am in the midst of you as he that serveth.
Riseth from supper, and layeth aside his garments, and taking a towel, girded himself. After that, he poured water into the bason, and began to wash the feet of the disciples, and to wipe them with the towel, wherewith he was girded.
Yet emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.
These came to Philip of Bethsaida in Galilee, and asked him, saying, Sir, we desire to see Jesus.
And having found him, they say to him, All men seek thee.
And when it was day, he departed and went into a desert place: and the multitude sought him, and came to him, and detained him, that he might not depart from them.
And he sought to see Jesus who he was, and could not for the croud, because he was little of stature.
after the Lord had given thanks) When they saw, that Jesus was not there, neither his disciples, they also went aboard the vessels, and came to Capernaum seeking Jesus.
So Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, will appear the second time, without sin, to them that look for him, unto salvation.
Who himself bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we being dead to sin might live to righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.
And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins, and in him is no sin.
and not as the scribes.
And Jesus came and spake to them, saying, All power is given me in heaven and in earth.
And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, What is this? What new teaching is this? For with authority he commandeth even the unclean spirits and they obey him.
And hath given him authority, to execute judgment likewise, because he is the Son of man.

that I may gain Christ, And be found in him, not having my own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith:
and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Now there was lying in the bosom of Jesus, one of the disciples whom Jesus loved.
Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. So after he had heard that he was sick,
They say to him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold, how he loved him! And some of them said,
for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard from my Father, I have made known to you.
Now there was lying in the bosom of Jesus, one of the disciples whom Jesus loved.

Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,
For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.
Seeing then Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh, arm yourselves also with the same mind:
At that time Jesus answered and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, because thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes.
Now while all the people were baptizing, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized,
These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes and said, Father, the hour is come: glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh,
Then they took away the stone from where the dead lay. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said,
And we being with him in the holy mountain, heard this voice coming from heaven:
And was transfigured before them, and his face shone as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.
And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter and James and John, and carrieth them up into an high mountain, by themselves apart, and was transfigured before them.
And as he prayed, the fashien of his countenance was altered, and his raiment was white and glistering.
To whom also he presented himself alive after his passion, by many infallible proofs, being seen by them forty days, and speaking of the things pertaining to the kingdom of God.
So they went and secured the sepulchre, sealing the stone, and setting a guard.
And having said this, he shewed them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Handle me and see: for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as you see me have.
Whosoever transgresseth and abideth not in the doctrine of Christ, hath not God:
And when Jesus had ended these sayings, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching, For he taught them as one having authority,
And he taught them many things by parables, and said to them in his teaching, Hearken:
Jesus answered them and said, My doctrine is not mine, but his that sent me.
And when they were come in, they went up into the upper-room, where both Peter and James, and John and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew, James the son of Alpheus, and Simon Zelotes, and Jude the brother of James tarried.
Now the names of the twelve apostles are these; the first, Simon who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
Simon (whom also he named Peter) and Andrew his brother:
And Simon he surnamed Peter: And James the son of Zebedee,
And in the evening his disciples came to him, saying, This is a desert place, and the time is now past: send the multitude away, that going into the villages, they may buy themselves victuals.
And taking the five loaves, and the two fishes, looking up to heaven, he blessed, and gave them to the disciples to set before them: and he divided the two fishes among them all.
And the day began to decline. And the twelve coming to him said, send the multitude away, that they may go into the towns and country round about, and lodge and find victuals: for we are here in a desert place.
Jesus then lifting up his eyes, and seeing a great multitude coming to him, saith to Philip, Whence shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
But Jesus did not trust himself to them,
Now we are sure thou knowest all things, and needest not that any should question thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God.
He saith to him, Yea, Lord, thou knowest that I love thee. He saith to him, Feed my sheep. He saith to him the third time, Simon, son of Jonah, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved, because he said to him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith to him, Feed my sheep.
And they prayed and said, Thou, Lord, who knowest the hearts of all, shew which of these two thou hast chosen,
And he arose and went thence into the borders of Tyre and Sidon. And entring into an house, he would have had no man know it; but he could not be hid.
And Simon and they that were with him followed after him.
And they come into an house: And the multitude cometh together again, so that they could not so much as eat bread.
And many saw them departing and knew him, and ran a foot thither from all the cities, and outwent them, and came together to him.
But seeing the multitudes he was moved with tender compassion for them, because they were faint and scattered, as sheep having no shepherd.
And going forth he saw a great multitude, and was moved with tender compassion for them, and healed their sick.
Then Jesus calling his disciples to him said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I am not willing to send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
The sum of what hath been spoken is, We have such an high priest, who is set down at the right-hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
But Christ being come, an high-priest of good things to come, through a greater and more perfect tabernacle,
that is, his flesh, And having an high-priest over the house of God;
For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath freed me from the law of sin and death.
Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made you free, and be not intangled again with the yoke of bondage.
And he was casting out a devil, and it was dumb: and when the devil was gone out, the dumb spake, and the people wondered.
For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake.
We are fools for Christ's sake; but ye are wise in Christ: we are weak; but ye are strong: ye are honourable; but we are despised.
saying, Behold the virgin shall be with child, and bring forth a Son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is, being interpreted, God with us.)
And they that were passing by reviled him, wagging their heads and saying,
Let the Christ, the king of Israel, come down now from the cross, that we may see and believe. They also that were crucified with him reviled him.
And one of the malefactors, who were hanging on the cross, reviled him, saying, If thou be the Christ, save thyself and us.
In the fourth watch of the night, Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.
But they seeing him walking on the sea, supposed it had been an apparition, and cried out.
And having rowed about five and twenty or thirty furlongs, they see Jesus walking on the sea, and drawing nigh to the ship: and they were afraid.
And the next day, as they came down from the mountain, a great multitude met him.
And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man,
And having cried and rent him sore, he came out; and he was as dead, so that many said, He is dead.
And they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, What is this? What new teaching is this? For with authority he commandeth even the unclean spirits and they obey him.
But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and seas obey him?
The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.

And they came and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish! And he arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water, and they ceased, and there was a calm.
And he arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, Peace; be still. And the wind ceased and there was a great calm.
(And behold a woman who had had a flux of blood, twelve years, coming behind him, touched the hem of his garment.
And a certain woman who had had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians,
And a woman who had had an issue of blood twelve years, and had spent all her living upon Physicians, neither could be healed by any,
For this person was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he that hath builded it hath more honour than the house.
Father, I will that these also whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory which thou hast given me; for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
And now, Father, glorify thou me with thyself, with the glory which I had with thee, before the world was.
He is not here; for he is risen, as he said: come, see the place where the Lord lay.
He saith to them, Be not affrighted: ye seek Jesus of Nazareth, who was crucified. He is risen: he is not here. Behold the place where they laid him.
He is not here, but is risen. Remember how he spake to you being yet in Galilee,
Is not this the carpenter? The son of Mary, the brother of James and Joses, and of Judas and Simon! And are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him.
And all in the synagogue hearing these things, were filled with fury, And rising up, thrust him out of the city, and brought him to the brow of the hill whereon their city was built, to cast him down headlong.
But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.
Now while all the people were baptizing, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized,
Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
And in those days, Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized by John at Jordan.
And when he hath led forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.
I have also other sheep which are not of this fold: I must bring them likewise, and they will hear my voice, and there shall be one flock, and one shepherd.
And when he was come to the other side, into the country of the Gergesenes, there met him two demoniacs, coming out of the tombs, exceeding fierce, so that no man could pass by that way.
And they came to the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes.
And they sailed to the country of the Gadarenes, which is over-against Galilee.

But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the strength of Christ may rest upon me.
But to every one of us is given grace, according to the measure of the gift of Christ.
Jesus saith, I am the way; and the truth, and the life; no man cometh to the Father, but by me.
Pilate said to him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest. I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I might bear witness to the truth.
And the Word was made flesh, and tabernacled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father) full of grace and truth.
And behold they brought to him a paralytic, lying on a couch; and Jesus seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, Son, Take courage: thy sins are forgiven thee.
And he spake the word to them. And they come to him, bringing a paralytic, borne of four.
And behold men bringing on a couch a man that was ill of the palsy; and they sought to bring him in, and lay him before him.
He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him; the word which I have spoken, that shall judge him at the last day.
He came to his own, and his own received him not.
if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
And going forth he saw a great multitude, and was moved with tender compassion for them, and healed their sick.
And Jesus passing thence, came nigh the sea of Galilee; and going up into a mountain, he sat down there. And great multitudes came to him, having with them the lame, blind, dumb, disabled, and many others; and cast them at the feet of Jesus, and he healed them: So that the multitudes wondered, seeing the dumb to speak, the disabled whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.
Much more then being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
For God hath not appointed us to wrath,
Thou therefore, my son, be strong through the grace which is by Jesus Christ.
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you all.
I am crucified with Christ, and I live no longer, but Christ liveth in me, and the life that I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
as Christ also hath loved us, and given himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God of a sweet-smelling savour.
And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom thou persecutest. It is hard for thee, to kick against the goads.
Last of all he was seen by me also, as an untimely birth.
And when the chief shepherd shall appear, ye shall receive the crown of glory that fadeth not away.
For the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will feed them, and will lead them to living fountains of water: and God will wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Jesus said to them, Verily I say to you, that ye who have followed me, in the renovation, when the Son of man shall sit on the throne of his glory, ye also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.
And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven; and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven, with power and great glory.

Whomsoever I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous and repent.
Then Jesus said, Let her alone; against the day of my burial hath she kept this.
But is now made manifest, by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel.
For the life was manifested, and we have seen, and testify and declare to you the eternal life which was with the Father, and was manifested to us:
He that loveth me not, keepeth not my words: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's who sent me.
If any teach otherwise, and consent not to sound words, those of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is after godliness,
Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly calling, consider the apostle and high-priest of our profession,
Wherefore it behoved him to be made in all things like his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high-priest, in things pertaining to God, to expiate the sins of the people.
And they come to Jericho. And as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimeus, the son of Timeus, sat by the way-side begging.
And when Jesus passed thence, two blind men followed him, crying and saying, Thou son of David, have mercy on us.
And behold two blind men sitting by the way-side, hearing that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
Then was brought to him a demoniac, blind and dumb; and he healed him, so that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.

Then Jesus calling his disciples to him said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I am not willing to send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.
So they did eat and were satisfied; and they took up of the fragments that were left, seven baskets.
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected in one; and that the world may know, that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them as thou hast loved me.
Now if Christ be in you, the body indeed is dead because of sin, but the spirit is life because of righteousness.
who was of the seed of David, according to the flesh, But declared the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead,
Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and sustaining all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the majesty on high,
For we have found this man, a pestilent fellow, and a mover of sedition among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes:
And he came and dwelt in a city called Nazareth, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophets, He shall be called a Nazarene.
And Thomas answered and said to him, My Lord and my God.
And they brought little children to him that he might touch them; but the disciples rebuked those that brought them.
And taking them up in his arms, he put his hands upon them and blessed them.
For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. The last enemy that is destroyed is death. For he hath put all things under his feet.
For thou wilt not leave my soul in Hades, neither wilt thou suffer thy holy one to see corruption.

And when Jesus was entered into Capernaum, there came to him a centurion,
And a certain centurion's servant, who was dear to him, was sick and ready to die.
He is not here, but is risen. Remember how he spake to you being yet in Galilee,
No one taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again.
And he said to them, What things? And they said to him, Those concerning Jesus of Nazareth (who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people,
For Moses truly said to the fathers, The Lord your God shall raise you up a prophet of your brethren, like unto me; him shall ye hear in all things, whatsoever he shall say to you.
Many of them said, He hath a devil, and is mad: why hear ye him?
Yet none of you keepeth the law. Why seek ye to kill me? The people answered and said, Thou hast a devil. Who seeketh to kill thee?
And taking him aside from the multitude, he put his fingers into his ears, and spitting, touched his tongue.
And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spake plain.
And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us, in the house of his servant David:
For mine eyes have seen thy salvation: Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people.

And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom; and the grace of God was upon him.
but grace and truth was by Jesus Christ.
In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
For as the Father hath life in himself, so hath he given to the Son also to have life in himself,
And so it is written, The first Adam was made a living soul, the last Adam is a quickening Spirit.
For the love of Christ constraineth us, while we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead:
For other foundation can no man lay, than what is laid, which is Jesus Christ: And if any one build on this foundation, gold, silver, costly stones;
of whom the greater part remain until now, but some are fallen asleep.
After this he was seen by James, then by all the apostles.
according to the scriptures, And that he was buried, and that he was raised the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen by Cephas, then by the twelve.
Therefore if any one be in Christ, there is a new creation: the old things are passed way; behold, all things are become new:
For other foundation can no man lay, than what is laid, which is Jesus Christ: And if any one build on this foundation, gold, silver, costly stones;
I know not that I baptized any other. For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel; but not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.
And all drank the same spiritual drink (for they drank out of the spiritual rock which followed them; and that rock was Christ) Yet, with the most of them, God was not well-pleased;
Afterwards he was seen by above five hundred brethren at once,
God is faithful, by whom ye were called into the fellowship of his Son Jesus Christ our Lord.
That being rooted and grounded in love, ye may be able to comprehend with all saints, what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height, And to know the love of Christ which passeth knowledge, that ye may be filled with all the fulness of God.
For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, in that he accounted me faithful, having put me into the ministry, Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecuter, and a reviler; but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.
Whose unbelieving minds the god of this world hath blinded, lest the illumination of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine upon them.
I Jesus have sent my angel to testify to you, to the churches, these things. I am the root and the off-spring of David, the bright, the morning-star. And the spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.
I Jesus have sent my angel to testify to you, to the churches, these things. I am the root and the off-spring of David, the bright, the morning-star. And the spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come.
And the high priest rising up said to him, Answerest thou nothing? What do these witness against thee? But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answering said to him, I adjure thee by the living God, to tell us, if thou art the Christ, the Son of God?
(For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are enemies of the cross of Christ: Whose end is destruction,
And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead: and he laid his right-hand upon me, saying, Fear not, I am the First and the Last,
Then he touched their eyes, saying, Be it unto you, according to your faith. And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
Behold, I stand at the door and knock: if any man hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to him, and sup with him, and he with me.
And to the angel of the church at Laodicea write, These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.
And to the angel of the church at Laodicea write, These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God.

Jesus hearing it, said, This sickness is not to death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified thereby. Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus. So after he had heard that he was sick, he abode still two days in the place where he was. Then after this he saith to his disciples, Let us go into Judea again. The disciples say to him, Master, the Jews but now sought to stone thee, and goest thou thither again? Jesus answered, Are there not twelve hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he stumbleth not, because he seeth the light of this world. But if any man walk in the night, he stumbleth, because the light is not in him. Thus he spake, and after that he saith to them, Our friend Lazarus sleepeth; but I go to awake him. Then the disciples said, Lord, if he sleep, he will recover. Jesus spake of his death, but they thought he had spoken of the natural rest in sleep. Then said Jesus to them plainly, Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sake I was not there, that ye may believe: but let us go to him. Then said Thomas, called Didymus, to his fellow-disciples, Let us also go, that we may die with him. When Jesus came, he found he had been now four days in the tomb. (Now Bethany was near Jerusalem, about fifteen furlongs off.) And many of the Jews were come to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother. When Martha heard that Jesus was coming, she went and met him; but Mary sat in the house. Then said Martha to Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. But I know even now, that whatsoever thou wilt ask of God, God will give it thee. Jesus saith to her, Thy brother shall rise again. Martha saith to him, I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day. Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life; he that believeth in me, tho' he die, yet shall he live; And whosoever liveth and believeth in me, shall not die for ever. Believest thou this? She saith to him, Yea, Lord, I believe thou art the Christ, the Son of God, who was to come into the world. Having said this, she went and privately called Mary her sister, saying, The master is come, and calleth for thee. As soon as she heard it, she arose quickly and came to him. Jesus was not yet come into the town, but was at the place where Martha had met him. The Jews then who were with her in the house and comforted her, seeing Mary, that she rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, She is going to the tomb, to weep there. When Mary was come where Jesus was, and saw him, she fell at his feet, saying to him, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died. When Jesus therefore saw her weeping, and the Jews weeping who came with her, he groaned deeply, and troubled himself, And said, Where have ye laid him? They say to him, Lord, come and see. Jesus wept. Then said the Jews, Behold, how he loved him! And some of them said, Could not this person, who opened the eyes of the blind, have even caused that this man should not have died? Jesus again groaning in himself, cometh to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. Jesus saith, Take away the stone. Martha, the sister of the deceased, saith to him, Lord, by this time he stinketh; for he hath been buried four days. Jesus saith to her, Said I not to thee, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the glory of God? Then they took away the stone from where the dead lay. And Jesus lifted up his eyes and said, Father, I thank thee, that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always: but I spake this, because of the people who stand by, that they may believe thou hast sent me. And having spoken thus, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. And he that had been dead came forth, bound hand and foot with graveclothes, and his face was wrapt about with a napkin. Jesus saith to them, Loose him, and let him go.
