For it is written in the book of Psalms, 'Let his homestead be made desolate, and let there be no one to dwell in it'; and, 'let another man take his office.'

But Peter, taking his stand with the eleven, raised his voice and addressed them: "Men of Judea and all you who live in Jerusalem, let this be known to you and give heed to my words.

because you will not abandon my soul to hades, nor let your Holy One see decay.

Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made him both Lord and Christ, this Jesus whom you crucified."

But in order that it may spread no further among the people, let us warn them to speak no longer to any one in this name."

And when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way to punish them, because of the people; for all the people were praising God for what had happened.

So in the present case I tell you, keep away from these men and let them alone, for if this plan or action is of men, it will fail;

So they took his advice, and they called the apostles in and had them flogged. Then they ordered them not to speak in the name of Jesus, and let them go.

but his disciples took him by night and let him down through an opening in the wall, lowering him in a basket.

And when they had taken a pledge from Jason and the others, they let them go.

Paul wanted to go in among the crowd, but the disciples would not let him.

If then Demetrius and the craftsmen with him have a complaint against anyone, the courts are open, and there are proconsuls; let them bring charges against one another.

But as the sailors were trying to escape from the ship and had let down the lifeboat into the sea, on the pretense of laying out anchors from the bow,

Then the soldiers cut the ropes of the lifeboat and let it fall away.

Therefore let it be known to you that this salvation of God has been sent to the Gentiles; they will listen."
