Therefore consider the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who fell, but kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness; otherwise you also will be cut off.

And many will follow their licentiousness, and because of them the way of truth will be reviled.

They have eyes full of adultery, that never cease from sin; they entice unstable souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children!

and saying, "Where is the promise of his coming? For ever since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation."

You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your own steadfastness.

Watch yourselves, that you do not lose what you have worked for, but that you may receive a full reward.

Therefore we ought to support such men, so that we may be fellow workers in the truth.
