"And my days are swifter than a runner; they flee away; they do not see good.

"Should an abundance of words go unanswered, or {a man full of talk} be vindicated?

Will not his majesty terrify you, and his dread fall upon you?

"Should [the] wise answer [with] windy knowledge, and should he fill his stomach [with the] east wind?

It will be paid in full {before his time}, and his branch will not flourish.

He denounces friends for reward, so his children's eyes will fail.

His bones were full of his vigor, but it will lie down with him on [the] dust.

"He will flee from an iron weapon, [but] an arrow of bronze will pierce him.

This [one] dies {in full prosperity}, {completely} at ease and secure.

His vats are full [with] milk and the marrow of his bones is moist.

[The] clods of [the] valley are sweet to him; everyone will follow after him, and {before} him {they are innumerable}.

I would lay [my] case {before him}, and I would fill my mouth [with] arguments

[He] covers [the] face of [the] full moon; [he] spreads his cloud over it.

And it hurls at him, and it has no compassion; he will quickly flee from its power.

They were driven out from fellow people; they shout at them as [at] a thief,

[then] let my shoulder blade fall from [my] shoulder, and let my arm be broken from its socket.

for I am full of words; {the spirit within me} urges me.

And what's more, he allured you {out of distress} [into] a broad place, [where] in place of it [was] no constraint; and [what] was set on your table is full of fatness.

They paw in the valley, and it exults with strength; it goes out to meet [the] battle.

Can you fill its kin with harpoons or its head with fish spears?

{An arrow} will not make it flee; sling stones are turned to stubble for it.
