Again he limits a certain day, saying in David, To day, after such time; as it is said, To day if ye would hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

For if Jesus had caused them to rest, he would not have spoken of another day after these things.

For if truly he were upon earth, he would not be a priest, there being priests bringing in gifts according to the law;

For would they not have ceased to be brought in? because they serving have no more consciousness of sins, once purified.
