And there went out unto him all the land of Judea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins.

But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,

And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it in this fashion.

And Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (there were about two thousand;) and were drowned in the sea.

And they came to Jesus, and saw him that was possessed with the demon, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.

And they laughed him to scorn. But when he had put them all out, he took the father and the mother of the child, and them that were with him, and entered in where the child was lying.

And immediately the girl arose, and walked; for she was of the age of twelve years. And they were astonished with a great astonishment.

And when the sabbath day was come, he began to teach in the synagogue: and many hearing him were astonished, saying, From where has this man these things? and what wisdom is this which is given unto him, that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands?

And he said unto them, Come you yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest awhile: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

And Jesus, when he came out, saw many people, and was moved with compassion toward them, because they were as sheep not having a shepherd: and he began to teach them many things.

And they that did eat of the loaves were about five thousand men.

For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and said unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid.

And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were much amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.

And when they were come out of the ship, immediately they knew him,

And ran through that whole region round about, and began to carry about in beds those that were sick, where they heard he was.

And wherever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.

And immediately his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was loosed, and he spoke plainly.

And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He has done all things well: he makes both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

So they did eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken fragments that were left seven baskets.

And they that had eaten were about four thousand: and he sent them away.

And there appeared unto them Elijah with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus.

For he knew not what to say; for they were much afraid.

And immediately all the people, when they beheld him, were greatly amazed, and running to him greeted him.

Let Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and believe. And they that were crucified with him reviled him.

There were also women looking on from afar: among whom was Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of Joses, and Salome;

And entering into the sepulcher, they saw a young man sitting on the right side, clothed in a long white garment; and they were amazed.

And they went out quickly, and fled from the sepulcher; for they trembled and were amazed: neither said they anything to any man; for they were afraid.
