Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more: but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.

But I have told you these things, that when the time shall come, ye may remember I told you them. I did not tell you these things at the beginning, because I was with you.

But because I have told you this, sorrow hath filled your heart.

Then some of his disciples said to each other, What is this that he said to us? A little while and ye shall not see me; and again, a little while and ye shall see me? and, Because I go to the Father?

A woman when she is in travel, hath sorrow, because her hour is come; but when she is delivered of the child, she no longer remembreth the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.

The Jews answered him, We have a law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God.

Now because it was the preparation, lest the bodies should remain upon the cross on the sabbath (for that sabbath was a great day) the Jews besought Pilate, that their legs might be broken, and they might be taken away.

There therefore they laid Jesus, because of the preparation -day of the Jews; for the sepulchre was nigh.

Peter was grieved, because he said to him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith to him, Feed my sheep.
