but killed the prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

it is the faith which we have in him, that has procured strength to this man whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by him, hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

saying, what shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all that dwell in Jerusalem, and we cannot deny it.

him hath God rais'd by his power to be the author of salvation, by giving repentance to Israel, and the remission of their sins.

and we are his witnesses in what we say, and so is the holy spirit, whom God hath given to those that obey him.

for God hath manifested to all the disobedient, that he would have mercy upon all.

for who hath known the mind of the Lord, or who hath been his counsellor?

who hath given any thing to him, and he will repay it?

loves others hath fulfilled the law. for this, "thou shalt not commit adultery, thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, thou shalt not bear false witness, thou shalt not covet;" and whatever social precept there be, it is reduced to this single head,

let not him that eateth, despise him that does not; and let not him that refrains, pass censure on him that eateth: for God hath received him.

as becometh christians, and assist her in every thing her business requires: for she hath assisted many besides my self.

but God hath chosen those who are foolish in the opinion of the world, to confound the wise; and the weak men of the world to confound the mighty:

but, as it is written, "eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entred into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."

for it is God that has reconciled the world to himself, by Jesus Christ, by not imputing their sins to them; and hath committed to us the gospel of reconciliation.

for he hath made us a-new, and form'd us by Christ Jesus to do good works, for which God had before prepared us, that we might live in them.

for he is our peace-maker, who hath united both Jew and Gentile, and hath by his flesh broken down the middle wall of partition

be mutually kind, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

for this you know, that no licentious or dissolute person, no lewd libertine, that is, an idolater, hath any part in the kingdom of Christ, and of God.

who has saved us, and by the gospel hath called us to holiness, not in consideration of our works, but in pursuance of his own resolution, and the favour, which having been promised us by Jesus Christ several ages ago,

happy and holy are they that have part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God, and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.
