And the sons of Keturah, Abraham's servant-wife: she was the mother of Zimran and Jokshan and Medan and Midian and Ishbak and Shuah. And the sons of Jokshan: Sheba and Dedan.

Abraham was the father of Isaac. The sons of Isaac: Esau and Israel.

And the sons of Lotan: Hori and Homam; and the sister of Lotan [was] Timna.

The son of Anah was Dishon. And the sons of Dishon: Amram, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran.

These [are] the kings who reigned in the land of Edom before any king reigned over the {Israelites}: Bela son of Beor, and the name of his city [was] Dinhabah.

And when Bela was dead Jobab the son of Zera of Bozrah reigned in his stead.

And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.

When Husham died, Hadad son of Bedad, who defeated the Midianites in the country of Moab, reigned in his place. And the name of his city was Avith.

And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.

And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.

And when Shaul was dead, Baal-hanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.

When Baal-Hanan died, Hadad reigned in his place, and the name of his city [was] Pai. And the name of his wife [was] Mehetabel, daughter of Matred, daughter of Me-Zahab.

The sons of Judah: Er, Onan and Shelah; [these] three were born to him from Bathshua the Canaanite. Now Er, Judah's firstborn, [was] evil in the sight of Yahweh, and he put him to death.

The son of Carmi: Achan, who brought the disaster on Israel when he stole what was devoted to God.

And the son of Ethan [was] Azariah.

Ram was the father of Amminadab, and Amminadab was the father of Nahshon, the tribal chief of Judah.

Nahshon was the father of Salma, and Salma was the father of Boaz.

Boaz was the father of Obed, and Obed was the father of Jesse.

Jesse was the father of Eliab, his firstborn; Abinadab was born second, Shimea third,

And Abigail bore Amasa, and the father of Amasa [was] Jether the Ishmaelite.

And when Azubah was dead, Caleb took to him Ephrath, who bore to him Hur,

Hur was the father of Uri, and Uri was the father of Bezalel.

And afterward Hezron went in to the daughter of Makir the father of Gilead. And he married her when he was sixty years old. And she bore Segub to him.

Segub was the father of Jair, who owned twenty-three cities in the land of Gilead.

After that Hezron was dead in Caleb Ephrathah, then Abijah Hezron's wife bore him Ashhur the father of Tekoa.

And Jerahmeel had another wife, and her name [was] Atarah. She [was] the mother of Onam.

And the name of the wife of Abishur [was] Abihail, and she bore to him Ahban and Molid.

And the son of Appaim was Ishi. And the son of Ishi was Sheshan. And the son of Sheshan was Ahlai.

And Sheshan had no sons, only daughters, but Sheshan had an Egyptian slave, and his name [was] Jarha.

And Sheshan had a servant that was an Egyptian named Jarha to whom he gave his daughter to wife, and she bare him Attai.

Attai was the father of Nathan, and Nathan was the father of Zabad.

Zabad was the father of Ephlal, and Ephlal was the father of Obed.

Obed was the father of Jehu, and Jehu was the father of Azariah.

Azariah was the father of Helez, and Helez was the father of Eleasah.

Eleasah was the father of Sismai, and Sismai was the father of Shallum.

Shallum was the father of Jekamiah, and Jekamiah was the father of Elishama.

And the sons of Caleb the brother of Jerahmeel were Mesha his firstborn; he [was] the father of Ziph. The sons of Mareshah: Hebron.

Shema was the father of Raham, the father of Jorkeam. Rekem was the father of Shammai.

And the son of Shammai [was] Maon, and Maon [was] the father of Beth-Zur.

Caleb's concubine Ephah bore Haran, Moza, and Gazez. Haran was the father of Gazez.

Caleb’s concubine Maacah was the mother of Sheber and Tirhanah.

She also gave birth to Shaaph the father of Madmannah, Sheva the father of Machbenah and the father of Gibea; and the daughter of Caleb [was] Acsah.

These were the sons of Caleb the son of Hur. The first-born of Ephratah was Shobal the father of Kirjath-jearim;

The son of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah, was Shobal, who fathered Kiriath-jearim, Salma, who fathered Bethlehem, and Hareph, who fathered Beth-gader.

These were the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: The firstborn was Amnon, whose mother was Ahinoam from Jezreel; the second was Daniel, whose mother was Abigail from Carmel;

The descendants of Jeconiah, who was taken captive to Babylon, included his son Shealtiel,

The sons of Pedaiah: Zerubbabel, and Shimei. The sons of Zerubbabel: Meshullam, and Hananiah; and Shelomith was their sister;

The sons of Hananiah: Pelatiah and Jeshaiah, whose son was Rephaiah, and his son Arnan, and his son was Obadiah, and his son was Shecaniah.

Shecaniah's son was Shemaiah, and the six sons of Shemaiah were Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat.

Reaiah the son of Shobal was the father of Jahath, and Jahath was the father of Ahumai and Lahad. These were the clans of the Zorathites.

And these [were] the sons of Etam: Jezreel, Ishma, and Idbash. And the name of their sister [was] Hazzelelponi,

and Penuel [was] the father of Gedor, and Ezer [was] the father of Hushah. These [were] the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah, the father of Bethlehem.

and Koz, who was the father of Anub, Hazzobebah, and the clans of Aharhel the son of Harum.

And Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. And his mother called his name Jabez, saying, "Because I bore him in pain."

And Chelub the brother of Shuah begot Mehir, who was the father of Eshton.

Eshton was the father of Beth-Rapha, Paseah, and Tehinnah, the father of Ir Nahash. These were the men of Recah.

And the sons of Kenaz: Othniel and Seraiah. And the son of Othniel was Hathath.

Meonothai was the father of Ophrah. Seraiah was the father of Joab, the father of those who live in Ge Harashim, who were craftsmen.

And the sons of Caleb the son of Jephunneh: Iru, Elah, and Naam. And the son of Elah was Kenaz.

whose son was Shallum, and the son of him was Mibsam, and his son was Mishma.

And the son of Mishma was Hammuel, and his son was Zaccur, and the son of him was Shimei.

Shimei had sixteen sons and six daughters. But his brothers did not have many sons, so their whole clan was not as numerous as the sons of Judah.

Joel, Joshibiah's son Jehu (who was the grandson of Seraiah and great-grandson of Asiel),

Shiphi's son Ziza (who was the grandson of Shiphi, who was fathered by Allon, who was fathered by Jedaiah, who was fathered by Shimri, who was fathered by Shemaiah)

And they found fertile and good pasture, and the land [was] very broad, quiet, and at ease, for the former inhabitants there [were] from Ham.
