Was it not in that day, says Jehovah, and I destroyed the wise out of Edom, and understanding from mount Esau?

In the day that thou stoodest on the other side, in the day that the strangers carried away captive his forces, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem, even thou wast as one of them.


“Do not gaze and gloat [in triumph] over your brother’s day,
The day when his misfortune came.
Do not rejoice over the sons of Judah

Do not speak arrogantly [jeering and maliciously mocking]

And in mount Zion shall be an escaping and there was holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.

And the house of Jacob was a fire, and the house of Joseph for a flame, and the house of Esau for straw; and they burned in them, and they devoured them; and a survivor shall not be to the house of Esau, for Jehovah spake.

And survivors came up into mount Zion to judge the mount Esau; and the kingdom was to Jehovah.
