Then Joseph, being raised from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took to him his wife:

But when Herod was dead, behold, an angel of the Lord appeareth in a dream to Joseph in Egypt,

Then will he answer them, saying, Verily I say to you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.

For in that she hath poured this ointment on my body, she did it for my burial.

And the disciples did as Jesus had appointed them; and they made ready the passover.

Then was fulfilled that which was spoken by Jeremiah the prophet, saying, And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued, whom they of the children of Israel did value;

Command therefore that the sepulcher be made secure until the third day, lest his disciples come by night, and steal him away, and say to the people, He is risen from the dead: so the last error will be worse than the first.

And for fear of him the keepers trembled and became as dead men.

And go quickly, and tell his disciples, that he is risen from the dead, and behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

So they took the money, and did as they were instructed: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.
