However, the Most High does not live in buildings made by human hands. As the prophet says,

This was the passage of Scripture he was reading: "Like a sheep he was led away to be slaughtered, and like a lamb is silent before its shearer, so he does not open his mouth.

Indeed, whoever fears him and does what is right is acceptable to him in any nation.

So be careful that what the prophets said doesn't happen to you:

The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth. He doesn't live in shrines made by human hands,

When the city recorder had quieted the crowd, he said, "Men of Ephesus, who in the world doesn't know that this city of Ephesus is the keeper of the temple of the great Artemis and of the statue that fell down from heaven?
