Affliction and distress [shall be] on every soul of man that does evil, both the Jew first and the Greek;

and glory and honor and peace to every one that does good, both the Jew first and the Greek.

all have turned aside, they have together become unprofitable; there is no one that does good, there is not even one;

blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not account sin.

For we are saved by hope; but a hope that is seen is not a hope; for why does one hope for what he sees?

You will say to me then, Why then does he yet find fault? for who has resisted his will?

For Moses describes the righteousness of the law, that the man that does these things shall live by them.

But what does it say? The word is nigh you, in your mouth and in your mind; that is, the word of the faith which we preach.

for [the power] is God's minister to you for good. But if you do evil, fear; for it bears not the sword in vain; for it is God's minister of justice for punishment to him that does evil.

Love does no evil to a neighbor; love therefore is the sum of the law.
